Santa Fe Limted purchase price
by danprtr on Tue Sep 02 18:31:22 PDT 2008
Santa Fe Limited FWD with Blue Tooth, Cargo Mat, Wheel Locks, First Aid Kit for $23,648 + TTL. Bought saturday in Cincinnati for what I figure to be $871 under invoice. It was too easy but they only had one of what we wanted (most were AWD with others having NAV) and my wife liked the color. Didn't want to prolong the search any longer. I'd recommend Columbia Hyundai but figure on preping the car yourself as the antenna wasn't installed, tires had 45-50#'s (vs. recommended 32#'s) and glue on the clear plastic headlights. Oh well, glad it's over.
2006 GLS 4WD Lease
by amandaleigh on Tue Oct 03 14:30:32 PDT 2006
Hi Car_Man, I live in Cincinnati, OH and received a quote of $17,995 for a used 2006 GLS 4wd with 11,300 miles. I also received a quote of $20,593 from another dealer for a new 2006 GLS 4wd. Which deal is better? I figured the depreciation in value is less for the used vehicle; therefore, my payment would be lower. I was thinking of leasing for 24-36 months.
Elantra prices in Indiana, Ohio region

I enjoy reading eveyone's posts, thanks for all the information. I've decided I want a 5 door GLS Elantra, preferably 5 speed (because of the price) with as few options as possible. I basically want a reliable car that is comfortable enough for long trips. As I have done some exploring, and negotiating, the price I am looking at, is around 14,150 (exclu. title, tags, tax, etc.; around 15,400 OTD) and includes package 3 (cd and cruise). That excludes the rebate because i am planning on financing at 0% but it still seems high, especially in light of some of the other posts. The dealership I went to was in Lima, OH, so probably smaller than those in San Francisco, or D.C. but...I still expected a better price. Any information on how I can negotiate the price down, or why it is so high would be appreciated. Additionally, if anyone has bought an Elantra in Indi, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, Ft. Wayne and has price information I would love to hear it. Thanks.
thanks I did get the exact car I wanted

'03 Sentra 2.5LE, which has hella more balls than the Elantra, side airbags that offer head protection just like the Elantra, and 4 wheel discs w/ABS.... for a very reasonable price. But Im defintiely going to check out the next round of Sonatas when they hit the showrooms, I'll probably be bored with my Sentra by then. :) And likely, Side Curtains and ABS will be standard on the new one. Looking forward to the potent V6 as well! ~alpha

And had a similarly high pressure, uninformed salesman practically shoving an Elantra down my throat. All I wanted was to test drive the car, and know if I could get one with ABS. He said they didnt have any with ABS, but explained to me that the brakes are fine without ABS, and told me that ABS didnt really work anyway, because your wheels will still lock. Right. I would personally not recommend Freehold Hyundai/Jeep to anyone I know. ~alpha
