My husband and I bought a 2012 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES at White Allen Honda in Dayton, OH over the weekend. We went less than 2 hours before closing, they could tell we were serious about buying and were very aggressive (in a good way) to make the deal happen. Our USAA quote said $34,010, so we were hoping to match or beat that. I just asked them straight up, what's the best you can do....first offer came back $33,595 + ttlf. We were very pleased, but didn't show it. We acted like it wasn't good enough, and got them to go down to $33K even. Although we live and purchased in OH, we are legal residents of FL and decided to register there (military)...so I guess we saved 1/2% in taxes. Here is the breakdown: 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L w/ RES (Dark Cherry Pearl II, Beige leather): Base Price: $33,000 Doc Fee: $250 FL Taxes (6%): $1980 Reg/Title: $33+$18 Total OTD Price: $35,281 Before going to the dealership, we went to get our 2007 Civic Hybrid appraised at CarMax. They offered us $12K, so we at least had that in our back pocket. Dealership only offered $9800 for the trade-in, so we declined. Decided to finance $20K at 0.9% for 36 months, and wrote them a check for the difference. We were very pleased with the deal. From everything I'm reading here and all the website quotes, I think we did great! :)

Just purchased a 2012 EX-L with RES from Matt Castrucci's Honday dealership in Dayton Mall. Finalized the deal through email with Internet Sales Specialist (K....), agreed on color, price, what to include, etc. Had to wait few days to get the color requested (Black/Trussel) and got the minivan fresh out of the factory (4 days before the promissed date). Walked into the dealership on Sunday, signed all the paperwork and drove it home in less than 1 1/2 hrs. Great experience, did not push me to get any additional stuff, just explained to me what is available and never insisted me for buying anything extra. Mr. K was there throughout the entire process, took plenty of time to go over the vehicle, and I highly recommend him for anyone interested in buying a vehicle. Price including destination: $33,214 Doc Fee and Tags ~ $269 Ohio Tax (6.5%) ~ $2176 0.9% APR for 36 months. MickG6, what was the sales price of the vehicle before taxes, etc? What state are you in? Got an offer for $37.5K out the door in Dayton, OH area for a EX-L w/NAV 4WD and am wondering if I can do better? Thoughts anyone?

Ok, just got another quote from Castrucci in Dayton OH. '11 Pilot EX-L with RES 33027.29 + 2329 taxes + 250 Document Fee + 34.50 for Title/Tag. Grand Total: $35641.74. This by far is the best price I have seen. What do you guys thinK?
