Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer

I can tell you where not to go for your Honda: Cincinnati, OH -- Jeff Wyler Honda of Colerain. I just bought a car from this dealer and had a TERRIBLE experience. Arrived to pick up the car and the passenger door had been dented and the paint damaged. After three hours of back and forth, the best the dealer would offer was $150 toward the repair of the car they damaged. It is going to cost me another $350 out of pocket to get it fixed. BEWARE, Dishonest dealers are out there -- and this is one of them. We took the car to two Honda autobody experts and both said there was touch-up paint, in the wrong color, on the car. So they were obviously hoping we wouldn't notice. NEVER buy a car here unless you want to be SORRY. WE GOT SCREWED.

I started with a price quote of $16.9K, and called dealerships in the area until I ended up with a price of $15.9 plus $285 in fees and 6.5% tax. Total price out the door was $17,238 in Cincinnati, OH.

Re: 2010 Honda Odyssey Touring [haroyemom] by jham1 on Wed Apr 28 10:40:13 PDT 2010

I just made the purchase on a new Touring this past weekend. In the Cincinnati Oh area and got $5K off the touring which MSRP's for $41,464 fully loaded. Thought it was a good deal and I took the quote to other dealers and they wouldn't beat it, so for my area I think I hit the max discount. Bought the silver (alabaster or something) and love it. Got a great trade in price, full blue book which help keep my taxes down to not much. They wouldn't do the Honda finance special at this discount price, but we used a credit union and got just about as good of rate. Good luck.

Hi 67ty5. If you drive 15,000 miles per year, don't go with a 12,000 mile per year lease. You will be much better off going with a lease that allows 15,000 miles per year from the get-go. Honda Finance's residual values for leases with 15,000 miles per year are 2% lower than its residuals for leases with 12,000. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

$20,309.34 12K miles Didn't go for 15K miles since I know for certain that I'll be under 12K miles per year.
