Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
I gotta pay back everyone since this thread was so helpful to me. I just purchased a 2012 CR-V EXL AWD w/RES - OTD $30040.00, from Criswell Auto, Gaithersburg MD. This price INCLUDES mud guards, door visors and moonroof visor. Comparing offers from others I think I got a pretty good deal. Offer - $26995 Dest - $810 Tax $1364 (6% in MD) TagsTitleLicense - $272 (seems a bit high, oh well) Trade in (2005 Camry LE 102,000m) - $5650
Hey everyone, I've been reading these posts for a few days now and I just wanted to get your opinion on my deal here. I'll try and not feel if I have buyer's remorse but in the end...I'm still going to love my new Honda Pilot. Alrighty, here is what I clunked down $500 bucks for... It's a 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L w/Nav 4WD, Dark Cherry Pearl II. Of course they didn't have it in stock, it's actually being built from the plant, just for me. I didn't get any extras as I have a "special" contact for that. Anywho...after extensive negotiating and a lot of back-n-forth e-mails, I finally settled. I settled on $36,440. This is the out-the-door price....everything to include tax, tags, applicable fees...literally OUT-THE-DOOR, nothing more. How'd I do? Thanks for your feed back. Oh, also, many may wonder where and how I got a dark cherry pearl...Honda of Tysons in Vienna, VA is where I got the deal. Also, like I said...not in stock, I should have it by March. Thanks again everyone!
Yay or nay? The EX-L is in Alabaster silver (my least fav color but oh well) and the dealer is giving a 18K OTD price. I'm a sucker for leather seats. But it also seems that I could go with a EX and get the leather seats installed afterwards? What are your thoughts?
Hello, I bought a 2011 CRV EX-L 4WD in Nov'11 for $26650 + TTL in Columbus, OH Do you think it is a good price?
Why not require both to email you the Out-the-door quote with detalied breakdown and model/trim. This will avoid further surprise when you arrive the dealership. Better yet, try get one signed by the sales manager from fax or scan to email. This will avoid the excuse of "Oh! The salesman made a mistake and I won't honor this deal!" I know this is a JOKE. I mean how can they make this mistake when their jobs are doing the same thing daily.
