2024 Silverado Z71

I have purchased numerous vehicles in my life. This time around I was prepared with a preapproval and knowledge of the vehicle that I wanted. That vehicle was not available at that time. The finance manager did an outstanding job getting me in a vehicle in my price range. My sales rep Candy did an outstanding job ensuring that I got a vehicle within my parameters.

Disgusted with these people

Most incredibly awful car buying experience imaginable. Not only did they sell me a brand new truck that has something wrong with it but they refuse to do anything about it. I cannot even get back my trade-in without a 10k loss. The customer service is a joke. Everyone is so kind and willing to help or "make things right," then when it comes to actually doing something there is zero follow through. I bought a 2015 Colorado off the lot in May after the first two trucks I went through the whole process of purchasing the dealership was unable to obtain from another lot or weren't what they were suppose to be. I had to drive back and forth from the dealership with one loaner car after another while they were "fixing" the one I settled with from their lot. They sold the first loaner car they gave me so I had to go back up there to change to another one. Meanwhile the guy that was keeping up with the progress on my truck quit and my truck just sat there. They'd right out lie and say my truck was fixed and someone test drove it without any problem. That Chevy MyLink thing is great to see if the vehicle has even been driven because you can check the fuel gage and miles from home. I was told four times it was ready to be picked up only to have to take it back to them when I realized the problem was still there. Five loaner cars later, about a dozen different employees and almost three months of headaches for dealing with these awful people. It's still not fixed. Now I'm told basically there is nothing they can do about the problem. So a could weeks ago they offer to bring in another truck I can trade for but again, zero follow through. Once the sale is final that's it, their job is done, they made their money, you're on your own. Garbage dealership.

Buyer Beware

I called this dealer before making the hour plus drive to ask a tax question about a truck located at their south Carolina location. The salesman told me he would just get the truck moved to his location and I wouldn't have to worry about paying out of state taxes. (he failed to mention that I wouldn't have had to worry about paying out of state taxes even if I had driven to the South Carolina location). When I arrived with my family (wife and 7 yr old daughter), we were told that there was a problem getting the truck right away because someone else was scheduled to look at it, however, if we could come to a deal and I bought the truck, they would have to release it to me. They went on to tell me that once the truck got there I could drive it and determine if I really wanted it, if not, no harm no foul, I could just not take delivery of the vehicle. We came to a deal and I bought the truck....all papers signed and I'm ready to go. I ask the GM if the truck is here yet and he tells me it won't be in until Monday because the South Carolina location closed at 5. This did not sit well with me and I told him someone better get the truck to me today. While he is on the phone trying to work something out, I find out the South Carolina location stays open until 6 and does not close at 5 like I was told. I asked the sales manager if I was getting smoke blown up my butt and he assures me that every other location closes at 5 regardless of what they post as their hours of operation. At 6 oclock I and my family had had enough. I walk up to the counter and ask what is going on. The GM tells me that although I had signed papers buying the truck, the other location sold the truck after the fact. I, along with my wife and 7 yr old daughter end up spending 6 1/2 hours at this dealership. These guys put themselves before the customer. Apparently, they have trouble transferring vehicles between lots and these two locations have some sort of pissing match going on. When I called, I should have been told that they could try to get the truck sent to their lot, but it can be difficult due other customers expressing an interest and maybe setting up an appointment to test drive. That information would have been extremely helpful in determining whether I drove to Savannah or Beaufort that day. Not only have they lost my business but also my friends and family. I will tell anyone who asks or who will listen about my experience with this location.

Nothing but the best

If all car salesmen was like Carl S. car buying would be always easy and a snap. The old saying you can't trust a car salesman, hogwash that's not the case anymore when you have Carl. Thanks Carl for all you done during my sale.

They went the extra mile

After reviewing the two Chevy models I was interested in and contacting several dealerships, I chose Dan Vaden Chevrolet for both their price quote and the responsiveness of their personnel. A new car is a rare and important purchase for me, and I am very particular about options, ratings, and my perception of the actual vehicle. I spent several hours with both salesman Eddie Black and the business and finance managers, and everyone involved was courteous and helpful. I recommend Dan Vaden and Eddie Black in particular to anyone looking for a new car.
