new car purchase experience

I negotiated by email and phone for a vehicle with this dealership. In that back-and-forth negotiation, I noticed that they were going to be over collecting for the cost of the tax and fees. I pointed this out to them and provided them with information from my state's DMV website which provided them with accurate information on the tax and title fees. Their reply was "our system shows that we have to collect this amount". I got them to place in writing that they would reimburse me any over collection of fees which they did provide. I had also negotiated removal of the doc fee. When walking out of the dealership with keys in hand, I forgot that I had intended on paying the taxes and fees by credit card so that I would not be paying interest on those items and also to have means of disputing overcollection if the dealership refused to keep their word. When I went back, the finance manager put the doc fee back in and I had to go back again and have her remove this. After titling my car at home, I emailed the dealership several times to request reimbursement for the over collection in fees and they refused after an audit of the situation. I asked for clarification and got no more communication from them. I was left to dispute the charge with my credit card company and fortunately won that dispute. I will say that they were nice. I did get a good price. They did voluntarily show me the official dealer invoice on the vehicle which no dealership had ever done. I was hopeful that they would honor their verbal and written word however, especially given that they support the FCA and Presbyterian Homes of Georgia.

Mary is the best sales professional I've had the pleasure of meeting she is very knowledgeable of what she does and takes pride in her job I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a used or new vehicle

Good experince

I had never dealt with Five Star nor had I ever owned a Hyundai. My experience with them was 4 out of 5 stars. What held them back from receiving 5 stars was the wait to sign the paperwork. It was painful for me and the salesman, Tony. I called ahead to get pre-approval and once at the dealership it still took several hours. The salesman, Tony, was excellent. We knew the car fairly well and seemed genuine during the process. I would buy again from these guys. I hope they streamline their process to bring the wait time down.

ENGINE NEEDED ON BRAND NEW CAR!!

I'd had a problem with this dealership in late 2012, but after they agreed to correct my problem, I purchased a car from them. I bought a 2013 Hyundai Sonata November 16, 2012, and on Wednesday, It just cut off 3 times, while driving down a busy street. I've only had it for 6 weeks, total mileage-1331, Well I was told today that it needs a new ENGINE! The manager offered to "SWAP"it out and "MAKE THINGS RIGHT" After spending 2 hours at the dealership this evening deciding on another, The manager finally gives me paperwork asking for an additional 47.00 a month and a WHOLE YEAR added to what I pay now. Totaling 6300.00... Seriously???? I guess my only option is to wait and allow them to replace THE ENGINE on My "BRAND NEW CAR" I will keep you up to date as to how things are going.....
