Buyer beware

Buyers beware! To say my experience at Jerry Ulm was less than satisfactory is the understatement of the year. The whole process has been truly disappointing. Day 1: Went in after seeing what I wanted online. Salesman Patrick met me and tried selling me the used 2022 TRX truck 15K OVER the asking price online. He tried the whole act and I walked out 3 hours later after not wanting to deal with the games. Day 2: In disbelief that a dealership could do that I called in, spoke with someone new, Reda and asked the price of the vehicle. I was told “the price I see is the price it’ll be.” I even asked for a written sales agreement and it was sent to me promptly so I went back in to purchase the vehicle with the salesman that wasn’t trying to be shady. At the dealership: The original guy Patrick noticed me and made a huge issue about Reda selling me the vehicle. I made it clear I did not want to do business with someone lacking integrity. He made the environment, for everyone involved, extremely hostile and uncomfortable while Reda did everything he could to be kind and professional. I was told the Carfax showed a minor incident. The verbiage that was used was “minor incidents mean scratches, small paint work, little items that aren’t really recognizable and were fixed.” After doing a walk around with Reda, i did not see anything major so I moved forward with the purchase. 4 days after: I took my truck to a tint shop and was told there had been pretty extensive damage done to the roof of the vehicle (most likely the previous owner running into a home or parking garage) and it was very poorly repaired now showing rust coming through. I reached out to the dealership to obtain further information however I was told they had no previous knowledge of the damage. For a company who prides themselves on doing 150 point inspection, how could you not see this? After initially being told they are not held responsible and would not do anything about it they suggested I go to their collision center for a quote and then we can discuss if there are any options to rectify this situation. 48 hours later I was given the quote and told they’d “discount” the work. Unfortunately, there’s no discount when they include extra hours and extra work that would not need to be done. (And yes, I took it to another well known collision center who gave me a much lower quote and looked over what they said it needed, laughing at the absurdity) I have reached out multiple times leaving multiple messages to discuss this and no one will return my calls now. If you have no other choice then to buy from Jerry Ulm, make sure you take your vehicle to a mechanic within 3 days or you’ll be in my shoes. Buyers Beware!

BEWARE!! They get you when you check out! Bad and Ugly

These bubbas are very, very good at getting you in the door with "Internet" pricing! HOWEVER, the really bad is when you go to "check out" "MANDATORY" warranties of about $2K! (if you dig into that warranty, it is almost worthless in almost every scenario) EXTREME fees, i.e., license transfers OUT the roof! Infuriating! You see the ad to get you in the door; you test drive, negotiate, and THEN, hours later find out, you have been screwed --IF you are off you guard and go with the all the surprises at the end. Do yourself a favor and find a more honest dealer!

Poor experience

Rush you through once the sale is made. They don't live up to agreements. I would not purchase a vehicle there again. I would go to orlando to purchase vehicle.

Great Dealership

My salesman (Ryan) did a great job working me into the right truck. He walked me on the lot, was patient and listened to what I wanted in a vehicle. He did not try to up sell me, he met my need and made sure I was getting a great deal. I am not going to throw out numbers, but the deal they offered was so good even my skeptical wife was happy to see what they had on paper. Not only did Ryan and the boys at Jerry Ulm get me a great deal on the Ram 1500, but they also got me an interest rate way lower than my credit union pre-approved me at. All in all, this was the EASIEST car buying experience I have EVER had! Kudos to the team. If you are looking for a Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram product this is the only place you need to go.

Engine Light to stay on

I have had my 2003 1500 Dodge Ram in for service three times due to the engine light being on. Here it is three days after picking it up and the engine light is on again! No results after three times I would say it is time to find another service center. Technicians and all the way up to the Service Manager assure me that it no "big deal as long as the light is not flashing" Well why does it come on then? Another comment was that it could be multiple things that could cause the light to go on. If I had the computer diagnostic system at my home rest assured I would narrow it down. Am I to feel confident going on a extended trip in my truck knowing that the engine light is on? No. I am now forced to rent a reliable vehicle for my holiday trip. Granted the service department wants me to bring my truck in yet again....I think not. It is now two days prior to my departure and I have to scramble to find a suitable vehicle. I cannot miss work due to unsatisfactory service. Due to the fact I have had the vehicle there for all of its maintenance needs and three times for this stupid engine light, and I emphasized the importance of this trip and the fact I wanted no problems on this trip. Well guess what? My engine light is to stay on and I have to park my truck and rent something for a substitute. UNACCEPTABLE. I would have expected more from Jerry Ulm Dodge. Bought my grand cherokee from them about a year ago. It was the easiest car buying experience of my life. Everyone in sales and in service knows me by my first name. They have always taken care of all of my needs. Very good people.
