Steer clear of this dealership or you will regret it

Ford of port richey is horrible. Don’t trust them !!!! I even gave it about 3-4 weeks before this review to see if they would reach out to me and even after calling Ford and making a complaint about the dealership there’s been no such attempt on their part to resolve the issue I had since I had my vehicle in there getting some work done. I took my vehicle in there to get a alignment on my 22 expedition and also then decided to get the tires rebalanced as well since we had about 22,000 miles on it and there was a vibration that was annoying. Well two hours after waiting at dealer for vehicle to get done I walked outside and seen a tech lowering my vehicle on the ground thinking it was done and the tech got into my vehicle and drove off the lot and I assumed he was going on a test drive in which they never had my permission to do so. So after about 15 minutes I was like this is sure taking along time to test drive the vehicle. So me utilizing the ford pass app “which is great by the way” I pinged my vehicle to get a location of where it was at. And to my surprise I had to zoom out on the map in order to find my location vs where my vehicle actually was. So at this point my stress level is rising as to why my vehicle is at a residential address 6 miles north of the dealership. Before I said anything I asked a employee how long or which way the route was they use to test drive a vehicle. His response was about 1 mile and the route was south of the dealership. So now as you can imagine the thought going thru my head as to why the hell is my personal vehicle off the lot 6 miles north of the dealership at a residential address. So I spoke to the service manager and I felt like he blew it off like no big deal. So as I’m walking around the front showroom , the new car sales manager asks if he could help me because I’m looking pretty aggravated at this point , so I explain to him and he said oh I’m the car salesman manager, you are going to need to talk to service dept. I explain that I already did and he just blew me off. At that point he told me to follow him and we walked to the service directors office and the service manager was in there also. I explained my concern and aggravation and they call the tech on the phone and asks him why they have a customer in their office wondering why his vehicle is at the techs house. So I can hear the tech making some bullshit story up and then he tells the manager that he still needs to do the alignment. Like seriously they had my vehicle for two hours and all they did was balance the tires? So there’s so many unanswered questions like why was my Vehicle at the techs house 6 miles north of the dealership, why was he even driving my vehicle and the alignment wasn’t even done? So basically don’t trust ford of port richey cause who knows what they are doing or where they are driving your vehicle when they have it. When I bring my vehicle in I want a piece of mind that they are going to take care of it and not fken driving it to their house . This must be a routine for this guy as he probably drives other vehicles home as well but no one has thought to check on the location of their vehicle before. Because when I drop it off I’m service I’m assuming it’s staying at dealership getting worked on not someone joy riding around. Even the service manager said I had him and the director backed in the corner and they couldn’t say anything, maybe they knew it was wrong or maybe they were just trying smooth things over. The service director waved charges for services but was that just covering their ass? The fact is as a manager you should have a understanding with the employees and have expectations. Sounds like ford of port richey needs some expectations put in place for when a customer vehicle is taking off the lot. So if you want a piece of mind when dropping your vehicle off in service , Ford of port Richey is NOT the place to take it to. Steer clear of that place or you will regret it.

Purge Valve Replacement

I took my car in to Ford of Port Richey to have the purge valve replaced. John Kidd greeted me promptly, processed the paper work and arranged for the shuttle to drop me off. The service was performed quickly and properly. My car is once again running great.

My hubby and I have been Ford of Port Richey customers since we purchased a brand Ranger back in 2003..Then when it was time for a new one, we went back and purchased many more trucks over the years all new! Now it was time for a second car and I right away contacted Mike Black, my go to guy at Ford, he is the best!! I knew what I wanted and Mike listened to all I wanted in an 2018 Escape! He knows us for many many years and is always willing to assist and help in whatever we ask him for. This is why I go to him. He knows when I come to see him, he is always willing to listen to my needs. I send others to him as well. He will work hard for his customers and once a sale is made, he does not forget you, he keeps in contact,,That I like, it shows me how Ford of Port Richey and Mike Black care for their customers. I am sure all the salespeople do as well, but I deal with Mike Black. I also this past Monday dealt with Mike Acord and Travis, they were both outstanding as is Mike Black. The 3 of them made it happen for me. They know what I wanted, they worked hard to make me happy with the deal I wanted. Cannot ask for anything else!! Ford of Port Richey not only has great sales people, but a fabulous service department as well. Steve is fabulous, each time we bring our vehicle in for routine maintenance, always smiling, eager and willing to please. So this in a nutshell is why I buy from Ford of Port Richey and have sent my son, who by the way was a die hard Dodge Ram man, he now drives a Ford F150..In closing I would send anyone who wants to purchase a new vehicle to go to Ford of Port Richey, you will not be let down! Thank you Ford of Port Richey and Mike Black!!!! I am one happy customer and a customer for life!!

Worth giving them a try.

I was skeptical about going there based on bad experiences 10 years ago with this dealership. I've learned recently there are new owners. After visiting 2 other Ford dealers in my area I stopped in. I'd already looked at 6 other new F150s at the other dealerships and was not given the time or attention needed to learn of the vehicle options I wanted. The other guys' inventory was limited on new vehicles too. I took the drive to Port Richey Ford and was met by Scott L. He invested hours with me showing me more than 30 vehicles they had on their lot. He explained the features and answered all of my questions accurately. He treated me like a brother with the attitude he was there to help me - not sell me. I did purchase a new 2016 F150 and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. It was not what I was prepared for when I drove there. I recommend you give them a try.

Experienced fixing junk FORDS.

Typical dealership fixing the JUNK they sell. Bought a brand new Mustang and 3 weeks later it needs repairs, no we can't take you to work ( too far) no loaner car either but you can rent one. Sales MGR finally stepped up and got me a rental after I complained.

Best Service Around

I brought my focus in for what I thought would be some minor repair work do to some leaking. Steve brought to my attention that I needed a new clutch and brakes as well. I was impressed with his knowledge of the car as he answered any question I had. My car ended up getting a lot of work done to it including new tires, brakes, clutch and window tinting to name a few. My focus runs like a dream now and I know my family is safe in this car which is a great feeling. Whether you need just an oil change or repairs; I recommend everyone to go see Steve W. in the service department of Ford of Port Richey. He is on top of his game!

Thanks go to Mark Botham in the service department for promising and delivering, but mostly for making me feel like a human being and for caring. I felt concerned, confused, and alone when I called Mark due to noticing my flat tire in the morning after starting out to work and school with my kids. By the end of the day, though, Mark had it all taken care of! From the minute I heard his voice in the morning, I knew it would okay. I could tell he was going to do what he said he would and he did. Thanks, Mark! :)

My experience with the staff at this dealership was terrific. Our sales person, Ricardo, went above and beyond to show cars I was interested in buying. I recommend this dealership as the staff were all very pleasant. When I am ready to buy a car I will return to Ford of New Port Richey.

Deceptive and dangerous business practices! Avoid this dealer if possible

They are very deceptive. We went into the dealer to buy a new truck. We are very protective of our credit and asked for details on how they do their loan searches. They explained that their system was unique - they only pull your credit once and send it to up to 10 lenders for the best rate. It is unique alright! it destroyed our credit almost instantly! Without even agreeing on a price for the vehicle we wanted, they had subjected our credit to 25 hard inquiries, and many of them to lenders that did not even do loans on a 1 ton truck! Oh yes, and we sat in the dealership for 5 hours and finally gave up and walked out - very poor interaction between sales personnel and the customers. Once we found out that our credit scores had dropped 65 points 1 week later, we immediately returned to the dealer to have them fix th damage they had done. Conveniently, they stated that our "paperwork had been shredded" and the salesman no longer worked there! Long story short, the Attorney General's office of Florida took interest in this situation and guided us accordingly. We have since filed formal complaints with several regulatory commissions and retained legal counsel. Since this incident (still ongoing), we have learned of many other dissatisfied customers that we have spoken to. This terrible ordeal has now affected our credit for up to 2 years we have been advised it will be difficult to get a loan personally or professionally due to the tremendous amount of hard inquiries. Needless to say, we are so upset and hope there is a way to undo this... Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealer at all costs! Their are other friendly Ford dealers 10 minutes south and 15 minutes north of where this one is located.
