In the search of a car we worked with Giovanni Aponte. He was exceptional in his knowledge and customer service. He guided us through what is normally a headache and haggle with such ease. I was shopping around for a new car I did not know what I wanted, all I knew was that 2 convertibles is a little impractical. I went to this dealership and had the pleasure to meet a wonderful guy like Jake. He was so patient and knowledgeable. This dealership was top notch! SAM H went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and his advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a sedan the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I felt like family by the end of the whole process! I would recommend Universal Nissan (SAM HAMDAOUI in particular) to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle.

Dishonest unrespectfull and the worst experience getting a new car

I had the worse experience in this dealer after I left the dealer. First they lied to me about the real factors of the new 2015 Nissan Leaf I got a year ago, so bad that haven't been able to even show up there after I had to come back because A service ligth went off after a month with the car. My sales person was excellent maybe the only one there so lucky me. But because this is a special car, the transaction had to be in conjunction with another sales person that supposed to be "the expert" with this type of car. He lided about all the facts maybe not his foult because the car fact are a lie from the factory. 114 miles range with a full battery charged. Big LIE!! Maybe 70-80 using very little speed, no accesories, ligths and braking usin B mode! MAYBE! They told me the car doesn't usually comes with quick charger that I had to pay more than $3,000 to upgrade, then found out the later 2015 models all came with quick charger. They told me taht with the charger the car has, will charge in 30-2 hours in a 220 volt charger that cost almost $1,000 plus installation, another lie!!!!! They sayd the regular 110 v will charge in 8 -10 hours LIE!! Maybe 12-18 hours. So not only DONT belive the dealer but the factory! The dealer will sell you a compelte lie! They also told me the car had 36 KWh LIE! My foult because I didnt read the sticker with LOTS of attention! But they could correctme when I asked the , they lie again when they told me the goverment was giving me $7,500 reabate because it was a 36 Kwh. My foult too because it is my fist lease ever and glad I did a lease because in two years this car is going back to them! But a friend that knows about leases told me they screwed me with the lease; well they told me they loose money with me that I should be hapoy with them because they gave me the car almost for free! $309 a month even that I went to the dealer for the promoted deal of $199. They install stufffin the dealer that you dint really need and force you to include it in the price a lie! If you don't want the installed options they can take it back or no include them in the price! i gues part my fault for first timer! But bad for them! The last lie was the "expert" in those vehicles said this car had upgraded rims, so it was a bonus that the factory out in it and they were not charging me for LIEEEE! The 2015 SV all come with thos rims, I found out by internet two days after. So if you buying a Leaf do your home work, visit all Nissan Dealers and see which one lies the most. But Universal Nissan is the worse!!! There is inly one hones salesman I know Frankie Diaz! All the negoviation was out of his hands, the sales mannager was a jerk and very dishonest a lier! The "exper" dont belive the they do not have anybody that knows about this type of vehicles! The other worse experience is with the service department! They never have appotimets convenient for you, they take for ever to answer, get back to you, waiting on the phone, all the phone ladies are RUDE, appoitments are aleays within almost a week you call because they just have one mechanics that can work this vehicles. I got a nice service guy very friendly maybe the onlly one "lucky me" I tried to get another appoitment two days ago for a recall, not appoitments until next week, Even that Nissan says it juts take an hour to reprogram the computer they told me I had to leave the vehicle at least half day and when I ask the if they will offer me a ride to my job they told me yhey dont have the service but I could RENT a vehicle from them or wait half day in the dealer! Very rude the lady in the phone! I hope never to go back there, still in contact with my sales man ( the only good one) He does excellent costumer follow up, send messages for BD, hokidays and soecials day, maybe the only positive person in that dealership! I hope he leaves that place. In general my experience with de dealer Is discusting! With the Nissan Company Super bad! Liers all, firs and hopefully only Nissan ever! Definitely better with Toyota my other vehicle and my favorite Honda, both my last and only brand I trust! i hope this helps somebody to avoid the bad experience! Do your homework doubt 90% what they say!

Raymond C was the best car salesman I ever had or even dealt with. He treated us like friends from start to finish. He got us a great deal and Joe got us a low APR loan even though our credit wasn't great. He even got our down payment down to the same price as the buy here and pay here dealers where asking for. You have excellent employees from Raymond to Joe to Nasim. Even though we didnt have a lot of a down payment, they listen to our problem and try to best cater to our needs and situation. Thank you for your time and patience.

Very dissapointed

My wife and I went to take a look at the new Altima. We are planning to buy a car in a couple of months. When the sales person (Eduardo) found out that we are not planning to buy a car that day, he suddenly became unfriendly, even rude. When I mentioned that other dealer offered a $4000 manufacturer discount, he turned around and walked away saying that it is not possible. Also, he was not willing to unlock a car so we can take a look at the interior. The visit was very short and I do not recommend anyone wasting time at Universal Nissan.

Waste of Time

I've been to numerous dealerships in the past week shopping for a used car. This dealership by far was the worst experience of the lot! I will not ever shop at a universal dealership and will go out of my way to tell friends, family, and co - workers to do the same. I'm usually a very thorough shopper, I had researched the used car inventory online (and granted that fluctuates frequently). I gave them the stock number for the vehicle I wanted to see. They proceeded to make us wait 10 minutes, then took down our information, and made us wait again while the salesperson "checked to see where the car was on the lot." After that wait he took us out to the lot and of course there was no car. They had us wait again "to find out where the car was" only to be told that it hadn't gone through processing yet. "At which time the price will be higher" Which makes me wonder why they bothered to list it in the first place. Was overall a waste of time, and is definitely one of those dealerships that only makes you angry. I'm used to dealerships playing some internet games and trying to lure people in. But they never tried to show us the vehicle listed, and never tried to show us any vehicle at all until we had already been waiting around for over half an hour. I highly recommend you not waste your time or spend your money in a place with such poor business ethics and practices!

Dishonest and Unprofessional

Do not go to this dealership! It is the most dishonest and unprofessional I have ever seen. They flat out lie to you and try to steer you to cars you don't want. The salespeople are not very knowledgeable and can't even answer basic questions about the product they're selling. The sales managers suck. I live within a mile of Universal Nissan but will drive the extra 15 miles to deal with another dealership in my area. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with those [violative content deleted] at Universal.
