Never again

Last month I went to Sutherlyn East Orlando to trade my leased Nissan Sentra for another Sentra. I was approached by salesmen Javon ( do not remeber his surname) and told hi the whole 9 yards about my new purchase and specifically told him that I did not wanted a deal different than what I was proposing. He asked me to choose a car first and before I chose any he showed up with a black Nissan. I told him no I do not want black this is Florida the sun will kill me. He did not like that too much but I found a model that suits me so the saga started. After 20-30minutes he came with a proposal 300 dollars higher than what I asked so I asked him why he was making me wast my time, he started telling me that I was yelling at him that he did not had any power over the numbers and so on. Well we got to a very close number to my proposal but now I would not have a lease and will pay for my car for 6 years!! Not happy at all and he did not confirm that they will honor his word he started filling up all papers necessary for the sale and after that he made me wait almost 2 more hours to seat in front of the closer and finish the paper work. He did not provide me carpet mats , car manual AND second key. before I left, I talked to one of the sales managers about my experience and asked why car sales person do that, always bring a really bigger price than customer is asking and he told me that that is how they train their sales people and add they they are not trained to deal with customers like me !! I called Nissan and a manager told me that they will send a locksmith to my house to cut another key because if they ask Nissan to do that it will cost a lot more ( for them! ). I set up the appointment 3 times and by the day of the 3rd one I went to the dealership to find out that Javon, my sales person, never finished the papers on returning my lease. But unfortunately the saga does not stop there as I asked them to find a car exactly the same as my wife is driving as her lease is about to expire. The first MANAGER who contact her did not even open her file to see what kind of car I was talking about. Then a second manager came through apologizing and saying that he would look for it. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS ARE YOU RUNNING THERE? Never again Sutherlyn never again

Lost a customer for Life

Tldr: Sutherlin used shady tactics to lose a customer for life. I went from being a Nissan fan to owning a Chevy. I'm done with Japanese cars for a while. I know this is a long review and it will make me look like a gullible idiot but I need people to understand what type of dealership Sutherlin Nissan is. The only reason I'm able to explain everything is because of weeks of reflection, and even now I'm not sure I understand all of the details. Oh and I guess it's important to know that the last car I bought was from Sutherlin so they did the following to a returning customer. In February of 2019 they ran a shady promotion designed to get people in the door. The basic premise was a flyer designed to make it look like you had won a car that actually resulted in $2 in lottery tickets. I was pretty sure I hadn't won anything but on the flyer they mentioned buying your car for more than it's worth. Being underwater on my car, but wanting to get into a new car with a warranty, I went in. I was there all day with my wife and baby (this was my mistake and one of the reasons I fell for their con, I wanted to get my baby home and I was exhausted). I told them I wanted to pay around 20k for a car and get my payments between 300-350. My car was worth 7k in trade in value and I owed 8k. Figured it wouldn't be that hard to get them to give me 8k. They talked me into a car way out of my price range. This is how it worked. Car cost 30,000, they would reduce the price by 4k or so but add on things like lifetime warranty, gap insurance and one other thing to make it more likely that the bank will accept the offer. After 3 months, they would take off the warranty etc, then I would refinance on the depreciated value of the car. Any difference would be eaten by the dealership. I tried to ask the right questions, I really did. At the end as we were signing the documents I had them explain it all to me again, asked what the purchase price was, they said 31k. I was tired and the baby was cranky and I signed. I couldn't sleep that night. I couldn't shake the feeling I'd make a horrible mistake. My bs bells were chiming too loud and too late. The next morning I looked at the contract with fresh eyes and saw something I missed. The purchase price was 31k but the financed amount was 40k. They had added all of those options on top of the purchase price. There was no coming down from that and the payments would ruin me. Something like $750 a month. I went back in and talked to the sales manager and he said they couldn't take it back. I even talked to the gm, he said the best they could do was reduce it to 36k. It wasn't until I had a mental breakdown in the office, complete with threats and crying (one of my least proud moments) that they agreed to take the car back. I was going to Jerry Mcguire my way out of that dealership and try to take lots of customers with me. As a result, They lost a lifetime Nissan customer. My dream lottery car is no longer the gtr. I will never own another Nissan and will steer everyone that will listen away from Sutherlin. Hope the promotion was worth it. Oh, also a week later I started receiving notices from a bunch of banks denying my application. I hadn't even been approved when I left the dealership and never realized that. I now own a Chevy Equinox.

Outstanding Customer Service

I wanted to thank Charles Watson (Chuck) for his outstanding customer services and professionalism. I have bought vehicles from other dealers in the past and we have never been treated with so much respect and complete honesty in our life. We purchased 2 vehicles yesterday and it was a smooth, no pressure experience. He thoroughly explained the advantages and disadvantages of the selections we were considering, was transparent, and completely honest, which you normally don't get with a dealership. We are new to the Orlando area and were not sure what to expect when visiting a dealer and we are so happy we chose Sutherlin Nissan. A huge thank you to Chuck and Sutherlin Nissan for a great experience. We highly recommend working with them.

Glad I didn't buy or service with Sutherlin!

Went with my wife to buy two new Altimas. Our sales consultant was great. Then the sales manager came over and said we need all kinds of money down. I never put big down payments. He was kinda rude about it too. Left and went to next Nissan dealer and left same day with both our new Altimas with no money down. So now I said let's try the service dept. Arrive ask for oil change then I'm lied to about vehicle requiring synthetic oil. Cannot show me documentation for this but insisted on it stating I will void my warranty lol. So here I am at another dealer getting my oil change and not being lied to. Sorry Sutherlin you will never see our business ever nor will we ever recommend you as a dealer.

Be Careful

This dealership is poorly managed. I received a survey from the dealership after I finalized my purchase and I gave bad scores, I then was contacted by a manager to ask why I was dissatisfied. I provided the manager verbally with the reasons as well as sent her an e-mail with the reasons I was dissatisfied she advised me she would get back with me. A week went by and I never heard anything from her so I went to the dealership, she was highly disorganized and did not know who I was. After I started over mentioning my concerns she remembered who I was and instead of pulling up the email I sent her she had me keep explaining to her why I was displeased and was not paying attention and had he keep on repeating myself. I had enough and I asked to speak with the owner who was in a meeting, but I have yet to hear from him. The sales guy that I dealt with was great, but in finance they never told me the final contract price while I was signing and they wanted me to sign everything and then discuss monthly payments at the end. I was also advised that my estimated monthly payment was for 60 months when it was actually for 72 months. I was also charged for the dealer fee twice and the manager didn’t show any care on concerns about me not being happy. The finance part of this dealership is very shady please be careful.

Felix Negron was an outstanding sales person. Kept my budget in mind no matter what. Very courteous, he gave me the best price for the vehicle i purchased. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER

Internet salesman guaranteed that he would do whatever it takes to get me out of my current vehicle and into a new vehicle at where I wanted to be. He also said that he will get me the best price possible even if the dealer had to lose money on the deal to make the customer happy. Well he outright lied and came no where close to getting near where I was looking for. He was asked to provide me some numbers prior to coming in and used the excuse that he was busy and it was hectic. Excuse me but I am a customer and deserve the same attention as a customer that is in the dealership. This dealer clearly does not care about taking care of the customers and is just looking to complete deals as the salesman said he needed to complete deals to meet his quota. This shows that he was going to do whatever it took to get a customer in the door to try to sell them a car to meet his numbers and not worry about the customer. Stay away from this dealership and dont ever deal with Louis or Andrew in internet sales, Ahmed the sales manager or Kenny Wright e commerce manager. They cant be trusted They dont even deserve one star

GREAT SELECTION, HORRIBLE SERVICE

I purchased a vehicle here a little over a month ago and I couldnt be happier with my selection. I purchased a 2014 and it runs like a 2017! :) they had a great selection of vehicles and competitive pricing, however their customer service needs serious room for improvement. The woman at the front desk is tolerable but super impatient and stays glued to her phone. She spoke to me while multi tasking in her phone on all three occasisions I had to deal with her. My sales person Richard gave me false info about the vehicles features (although I didnt mind b/c I dont need bluetooth or hed lights etc). But even that would be ok if that had been the only issue. I was given a temp tag and once it expired he told me to ride around on an expired tag until mine came and he didnt know what else to tell me. I was told I would receive a credit for my tag transer within a certain time and it took more time as well as me going all the way back up there to deal with management. I tried to contact my sales agent after the sale (on his work and cell) and got the run around. Then no one else in the office would deal with me and only reffered me back to my sales agent. After voicing my issues in person and even stating that I would be attempting to contact another manager, I was told my sales agent would contact me to rectify the situation and needless to say I have yet to hear from him.

Terrible Dealership

I have bought many cars in my life but I can honestly say this dealership is one of the most incompetent I've ever had to deal with. Both my son and I have been treated like garbage and when I asked to speak to the manager I was put on hold for 16 minutes even though they knew I was calling long distance. I wish I had hung up because when I did eventually get to speak to a man called Frank, he was the most ignorant, rude, disrespectful manager I have ever met. To make things worse one of the sales men told my son Frank said I cursed him out! That is an absolute lie. I was so angry not just with the disgusting service but with their manager that I have filed a complaint with Nissan USA. I hope they will do more then this awful dealership. I posted on their Facebook page and guess what?? yes my comment has remarkably disappeared. Hard for customers to see what's really going on when places like this can remove anything negative.

We went to Southerlin Nissan for the first time today and Eric Greenwalt greeted is. He spent some time getting to know us and helping to determine our needs. Once he had a feel for what we were looking for we spent some time on the lot. We found 5 cars we were interested in learning more about. He was able to get our questions answered and we decided to drive two of the vehicles. We decided one of the vehicles was the right fit for our family and are working on finalizing the car. Eric was courteous, helpful And overall a good sales person.

Great Experience with my Sales Associate Felix Negron

My car purchase with Sutherlin Nissan was a very pleasant experience. The Sales Associate Felix Negron helped me with the whole process since the moment I pulled into the dealership. He was with me since the beginning of the process until the very end. He was very professional and a very curtious sales associate. Overall this was a very good cat buying experience and if I have to buy another car I would go back and do business with him again.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Worst experience ever at Sutherland Nissan. My wife and I went there based on an LE Murano the had listed at $20,000. I had emailed them prev asking an out the door price with a %5,000 trade and was told around $17,400 so i listed this as our 1st stop on our car search. We get there and a sales rep walks up to us and I ask if they still have the LE Murano and was told no they didn't have any used LE models available. He proceeded to show us the 3 used ones they did have and we test drove a 2013 SL model and proceeded to go inside to see if we could work the numbers so we could buy it. We were adamant about what we wanted for a payment and terms of 48 months and we will not budge on this point. The price online for this SL was $21,988 and they brought the price down to $19,100 and gave us $5,000 for our trade and proceeded to sign all there forms and signed over my title. Then the incredible happened the internet sales guy Matthew Kimmel comes over and asks why we didn't want the LE Murano that he priced for us. I explained we were told it was no longer available. He then proceeds to tell us that the prev rep is upset with us and that we are trying to scam them!!!! What the... I cannot believe where this is going. I explain again the LE is not here we have already processed paperwork for this SL model He says the numbers are wrong unless we wanted to agree to longer terms. I asked for the manager which after 5-10 min I had to get up walk over 30 ft to where the manager was and have him come over. instantly this Mattew comes back over and sits in. I explained this whole thing to the manager and how we were accused of trying to scam them. He says let me see about this and what we can do. they both get up and come back several minutes later. He says why didn't you want to buy this LE model?? he brings up there website which shows the listed LE model and it turns out it is listed incorrectly as an LE (most likely by this internet sales rep Matthew) and proceed to not say were sorry about how we treated you or there incorrect listing instead blame us for not looking at the picture as we should have noticed it didn't look like an LE!! yeah right like I am an expert I relied on them for that. then the manager says we will help you out we will sell you the SL model at our cost. I am thinking ok they are finally going to make good on the price agreed and the hell they just put me and my wife through. Our cost is $23,983.00...... I am now in utter disbelief and explain it is listed on there web site for $21,988 and was just offered to have it reduced to 19,100. oh and I forgot to mention thru this whole thing we had asked several times to bring back the other 2 reps only to be told they could not find them> Needless to say we left after being embarrassed, humiliated and treated like dirt. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS AT ALL AND AS A 3 TIME NISSAN VEHICLE OWNER EXPECT TO BE TRATED BETTER.

Best Dealership in Town

I have to say I was impressed with this dealership from beginning to end. My salesman was a very courteous young man named Eric Greenawalt, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I was unsure of what type of car I was looking for. I just knew I needed a new one. Eric took the time to get to know me and suggested a Rogue. He was right. I love it and couldn't be happier with it!! He got me a good deal on my trade and my payment right where I wanted to be. The entire dealership was great. Everyone was so friendly. You can tell there is a lot of pride there. Everything is so neat and organized and they do everthing they can to make what is usually an unpleasant experience actually enjoyable. I will definitely go back to Sutherlin again for my next new car and refer my family and friends there as well.

I have bought several cars from many dealerships, and this was by far the best experience I have had. The salesperson (Kenny Wright) was attentive to what I wanted and delivered on everything I asked. Kenny Wright was prepared. He found the car I wanted plus it had some additional upgrades that I liked. I knew what price the car was selling for based on Kelly Blue Book, and I got the car for the same price as what I found on the internet. There was no sales pressure or unpleasant haggling like what I have experienced in previous purchases.
