onI live in Orlando area and after looking for a deal on a 2013 F150 that wouldnt involve being beaten up with back and forth negotiation or low balling my trade; I found the truck I wanted on Duval Fords web site.
I called and verified the advertised price was correct and what I would pay.
I didnt want to be surprised with a bunch of dealerships add on options after I got there and found a higher cost, which is want had happened shopping the Orlando market.
The said if I decided to purchase it I would pay the advertised price plus the tag, tax, title fees and a small dealer prep fee. Now that being said, they were clear I could request dealer options if I wanted to.
I set up an appointment for the following day, Sunday afternoon, to go look at the truck and decided to purchase it.
So now it came down to the trade and financing.
They had given me an estimated trade in value on my car through AutoTrader the day before my appointment, which I wasnt very happy with.
They called back and explained that they would do a second appraisal of my trade onsite and will offer you the better of the two.
The second appraisal worked to my favor and after they called around to auto brokers they offered me what I was looking for much, much better than the pre appointment trade value.
I receive a great interest rate and the finance associate had all the paperwork ready and was completed and out quickly.
During the entire process I had an fantastic sales associate. He was friendly and never high pressure.
He took me through the entire process and kept me fully informed.
He delivered the truck with a full overview of its options and operation and a full tank of gas to get me back home.
By Sunday evening I was back in Orlando with the truck of my dreams.
