Watertown would not honor quote received and confirmed from them by email

Honda of Watertown will not honor the 2024 Accord quote I received from Sales@hondaofwatertown.edealerhub.com . I went to the Honda of Watertown website on my computer. I clicked the section that indicates “Contact Us”. My request was very specific. I requested a price for a 2024 Accord Hybrid with some options and requested an all-inclusive (OTD) quote by email that includes taxes, registration & title, and conveyance fees. Sales replied with an “OTD” amount. I replied to their email to confirm the detailed request and amount and received this reply 3/23/24: “That you are willing to order, that you want a quote with taxes, registration, title, and conveyance fess included, that you do not need financing, that you want to be informed of rebates/incentives besides financing ones, and that you want to know if this vehicle is in stock or if there are any additional mandatory fees. The OTD price with that build is $36085” Part of the email: to Honda Thank you for your reply Is the vehicle you quoted already built and available or must it be ordered? My request was: 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. Buyer is a Connecticut resident, exterior color is Meteorite Gray Metallic, that you want the all-season protection package 1 as well as a moonroof visor (installed) that you will need new license plates, no trade in, that you are looking for delivery between 03/23/24 and 06/30/24, that you are willing to order, that you want a quote with taxes, registration, title and conveyence fees included, that you do not need financing, that you want to be informed of rebates/incentives besides financing ones, and that you want to know if this vehicle is in stock or if there are any additional mandatory fees. the OTD price with that build is $36085. Is that correct? Honda of Watertown Mar 23, 2024, 9:23 AM (3 days ago) to me Hi Yes this is on an ordered vehicle. What time today can you make it in to go over the final details and put in your order? Mar 23, 2024, 10:06 AM (3 days ago) This dealer charges $715 (or more) for document fees. That is higher than any local dealer I have experienced. I met with their new car Sales Manager Ray Novak 3/23/24 and he told me they would not honor the online quote. He showed me his printed proposal that was way over $40,000. He included $299 for VIN etching (which I never requested) and $495 for premium exterior paint although the color I wanted was not a premium color. We could not come to an agreement. They later offered a nominal discount and some floor mats for the inconvenience. Honda of Watertown will not honor a quote provided by their online sales representative. JUST GO TO ANOTHER DEALER. I suggest you stay away from this dealership entirely. A slimy dealer will try all kinds of tactics to get you to come in. They made the OTD offer to me and should either stand by it or lose customers.

Your sales person Moe has lot of knowledge about Hondas, and he had guided us to get the best vehicle for our needs. We are very pleased that our vehicle got inspected before by Honda Technicians since it is a second hand owner.

John Martin was the first salesman that didn't make me feel pressured to buy right then. I was able to go home and think about my options. He answered all my questions and offered to help with my trade in. Great experience and love driving my 2020 Honda Accord I purchased from John !!

Dave Bonomo is an excellent sales rep-personable, knowledgeable, and a consummate professional. We had a new car by the next day. The Honda Hydrid CRV is a dream to drive. We have bought Hondas for years and this was by far our best experience!!!

Great Customer Service

Brandon was an amazing sales person, he keep me updated and made sure if I had any questions they were answered. This is the second car that I got from here and he was the sales person for both. I will continue to buy cars here as long as I get to work with amazing people like Brandon. Even the finance manager was super nice, it’s always a good vibe when I go to Honda of Watertown. Wouldn’t have gone anywhere else.
