Poor Customer Satisfaction
Written by Karl1278 on 06/07/2014
I have been a loyal Chrysler-Dodge customer for the past fifteen years. Recently my 2010 Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi with 16000. miles, purchased new from Sullivan's Northwest Hills experienced severe engine trouble, to include dropping an exhaust valve and damaging a piston. This dealership was merely going to replace the parts, which I objected to. I contacted Chrysler to express my concerns and their solution was to install a short block. Although I was against a short block installation I was assured by Chrysler and Northwest Hills service department my truck would be good as new. I contacted the owner Kevin S directly to express my concerns and the fact I had been without my truck for nearly 20 days and was never offered a loaner vehicle. He responded that it was my fault. Because if I allowed them to simply replace the engine components my truck would have been repaired and returned to me. I finally picked up my truck and inspected the engine compartment. There was missing grommets along the fire wall. The engine was smeared with engine oils and dirt. I contacted Northwest Hills Service Department expressing my concerns and requested they make arrangements to get my truck returned to the dealership and make the necessary corrections.. At first they were hesitant to comply with my request. After reassuring them I was not going to be inconvenienced any longer that they were to get it , make the repairs and return it me that day. While at work I received a voicemail message from the service department stating while the technician was driving my Ram truck back to the dealership the engine developed a slight "tick noise", which progressively got worse and turned into a "knock". He stated they dropped the oil pan and found metal shavings in the oil.. This after only 20 miles on their guaranteed short block repair!!!! I was furious at this point and contacted my Chrysler Case Manager and demanded a new vehicle. Again Chrysler could care less and again only approved replacing the short block. I told her that I was scheduled for vacation and needed a loaner vehicle so I could tow my camper for a vacation that I had already paid for. Once again Chrysler did nothing and told me that was an issue I had to talk to the dealer about. I contacted the service department and requested a loaner truck equipped with a towing package, to include a trailer brake.. After this horrible experience with this dealership I felt this could be there opportunity to redeem themselves. Once again I was told by the service department that they could only offer a vehicle with no trailer brake.. I explained that would not be sufficient for my needs. For the life of me I cant believe there wasn't a new or used truck on their lot equipped with a trailer brake. Therefore, I was nearly forced to forfeit nearly $400.00, but a good friend loaned his vehicle so I could go on vaction. Again Sullivan's Northwest Hills failed to assist me in a time of need. Finally after nearly sixty days I did receive my truck back. It runs for now, but they still failed to put the plastic grommets back in and told me nothing was there before they tore the engine out. I simple conducted a an internet search and found pictures showing the same grommets that they say were never there. If they cant fix something as simply as this what else did the forget to replace while conducting a complex engine repair. In conclusion my experience with this dealer ship, the owner Kevin S and his poorly operated service department has lead me to believe this dealership is not only incompetent, it is not a customer friendly business!!!! Since my first conversation with Kevin S, knowing I was not happy he has made no effort to contact me to date!!!! Customer Satisfaction is not a priority for Kevin S, and my experience has proven this. So before purchasing a vehicle or believing any advertisement you might hear or see, beware when racing for the hills, S's Northwest Hills that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
