Fair and knowledgable

by Thoam on 12/01/2014

I dealt with a few people at Prestige and they were all straightforward, no pressure, very accommodating and just all-around enjoyable to work with. There's no haggling, just a pretty straightforward process. They definitely found the right car for me.

PHENOMENAL SALES EXPERIENCE!

by noble2 on 12/02/2008

I purchased a 2006 A6 Avant through Dave McManus. Dave is an honest person and an absolutely outstanding salesman. Initially, Dave and I negotiated the vehicle selling price over the internet and he sold the Avant to me for a very fair price. In fact, he easily beat the other three Audi dealerships I had also been negotiating with. Dave also went above and beyond with my trade in allowance. I strongly recommend Prestige Imports and Dave McManus to anyone looking to purchase an Audi. As a matter of fact, I already recommended Dave to my son who is looking to purchase his first Audi.

Dave McManus was great!

by dyson on 09/15/2008

We just purchased a 2008 A4 from Prestige a few weeks ago. Dave McManus worked with us initially over the internet and was great throughout the buying process! Dave gave us a fair price and he actually had the inventory he said he had! He has followed up with us multiple times since we purchased the car and has been working with us to ensure accessories are scheduled and installed properly as well! Would recommend Dave to others and look forward to working with him again on our next Audi purchase!

Great leasing experience

by colonote on 07/23/2008

Called 4 area fleet managers at nearby Audi dealers to get the best pricing on an A6 lease; Dave McMannis gave me straight answers and the best price without haggling. He even beat the Audi Promo lease deal, which is hard to do. We negotiated below Invoice for a cap cost and no games with the Money Factor. They have sots of inventory, but he traded another dealer for the car I wanted. I'd buy another Audi from him when ready. He's a straight shooter. Plus we've used their service dept for 15 years of Audis with satisfaction.

I've recently purchased yet another vehicle from Dave, and as usual he was professional and courteous at all times and was a joy to work with. I had been researching a vehicle for a while and Dave's demeanor is as relaxed as you can get - "just give me a call when you're ready." I ordered my vehicle in January and he was straightforward about Prestige's allocations, when the vehicle was scheduled to be built, when it would likely get on a ship, when it would arrive in port after being loaded aboard a ship, and when it would likely arrive at the dealer. He was honest as to which dates were firm and which were based solely on "typical timing," and never misrepresented either. Naturally neither he nor anyone else can guarantee a precise date when an ordered car will reach the dealer, but his estimates were right in the ball park. He maintained excellent contact throughout the entire process, with it never taking more than a few working hours for him to respond to any email inquiry, often responding in under an hour. Working with Dave spoils you. Test drives are relaxed and completely unrushed. When you decide what you want to buy, you come in and discuss pricing - a process that's quick and honest with absolutely no pressure or upselling whatsoever. You simply leave a deposit and pick up your car when it's in. Even when your car is detailed and sitting in the showroom, there's no pressure to add on extended warranties, LoJack, interior protection or anything else, as there might be at other dealerships (who take advantage of the fact that your long awaited car is sitting there, just feet away waiting for you to drive it home.) The important thing is the process is all under your control (the aforementioned dealer options are available if you do want them) and he'll work with you to give you whatever you want at a fair price. Dave is also straightforward about how trade-ins will be handled and priced, giving you the flexibility of knowing what Prestige will give you for your vehicle so you can decide ahead of time whether you want to try to sell your car yourself or not, and what price you will need to sell it for in order to come out ahead when taking into account the sales tax advantages of trading in. I too often read horror stories on enthusiast boards about deposits taken for cars for which a dealer has no allocations, build slots being auctioned to the highest bidder, and other shenanigans. Thankfully, working with Dave and Prestige Imports means never having to worry about any of that.

Flakey, and getting info is like pulling teeth

by zlguocius on 09/10/2007

I was looking to buy a 2008 Audi A3 3.2 with no factory-installed options in early June 2007. No dealership carries a stripped down A3, so I had to order one from Germany. Dave McManus at Prestige Imports outside Denver offered the lowest bid*, so I went with them. * I gave Prestige Imports the last bid, bceause I had heard good things about them from the internet. So it's not surprising that McManus had the lowest bid. He undercut his nearest competitor by, are you ready?--$2.50. That's right. Someone else bid $34,077.50, so McManus bid $34,075. This is early June 2007, bidding on a 2008 Audi A3 3.2 with no factory-installed options, brilliant black exterior on dark grey upholstery, which hasn't even started production yet (invoice $33,187; MSRP $35,690--I was planning to pay all up-front, no financing, no trade-in). Signing the initial contract was easy enough: walked into the dealership for the first time ever (had done my test-drive at another dealership closer to home), met McManus, signed the papers, and was out of there within 20 minutes. McManus even emailed me a pdf of the contract before-hand, so I could see what it would look like, with the numbers filled in. (He didn't fill in the tax numbers though, just the line immediately before the tax and total.) McManus promised the car would arrive by August 2007. But every time I asked for updates as the summer progressed, he would push back the delivery date. (And I had to keep asking and often send return emails so that he would say something more informative. McManus has mastered the art of responding to emails but giving out as little useful information as possible.) First it was pushed back to "late August". Then September. And then October. At that point I got fed up and demanded my $2,000 deposit back. To the dealership's credit, McManus gave me my full refund back. He still claims not to know why the car is delayed so long. (When I was in his office signing the contract back in June, he assured me things would never drag on that long, unless maybe there was a series of hurricanes or someone bombed Ingolstadt. Neither of those things happened.) I'll be taking my business elsewhere. In short--I don't trust Prestige and McManus. There were some nice parts to our summer-long relationship: they offered the lowest price (by only $2.50, and I had to give them the last bid to get it), and signing the contract was hassle-free. But getting information from them is like pulling teeth, and they didn't make good on their promise to deliver by August. If I had let it continue, it would have dragged into October, still with no car. (In contrast, other A3 owners with whom I communicated on Audi forums had signed contracts as late as July and had their cars by August / September.)
