Looking for 17K deal on 2008 Crossfire Convertibles
by mauiceo on Sun Jul 05 22:11:08 PDT 2009
Hi, I came across the comments about the two lucky guys who paid $17K for their new 2008's. I'm looking for a similar deal. Can buy in CA or TX (or have it shipped, I guess). Convertible / Roadster. I don't care about the lifetime powertrain warranty exception. Does anyone know where I can get one? Any color but gold. :-) Thanks for your help!

sell your old car yourself and take the great deal.

That is a very good price. Good job! I WAS in the market for a new T&C but I couldn't get a 'reasonable' deal on one I liked in the Houston market. I did find some 35k msrp for 26k I liked at certain dealers, but NONE with a 4.0L with the options I wanted that would do a 9-10k off msrp deal.I really really wanted to get the 4.0L but the dealers I found that had something like what desi1 got would only budge to around 29-31k (about 4-5k off msrp). So unfortunately I just gave up and bought a honda odyssey (list 30k, got for 24k). So honda gave me 6k off msrp, while some of the local chrysler dealers (large ones at that) couldn't give me that much off?
marked dealer $$ variability

I'm beginning to wonder about dealer pricing. I've priced 3 vans- all msrp of 35-36k. All 2009 tourings. I've gotten 26.5, 29.5, and 31k as the quoted prices. The 29.5 and the 31k guys, when told of the 26.5 offer, both responsed that their offer was as low as they could go and that maybe the other dealer was doing a bait-n-switch? It just seems odd since it seems that 26.5 is about what others have gotten on this forum. Sure it isn't apples to apples, but is seems that 10k off isn't unheard of on this forum. What gives...

or just list them and sell it yourself- you will almost always get much more.

In Houston I was given a price quote of 26500 for a 35000 msrp T&C 25th with dvd/nav. I'd say that is a great price in chicagoland.
