Most smooth car buying Experience

We were interetested in a Sprinter Van for a Conversion. Talked to Denis over the phone, we scheduled a test drive. Took it out for a quick spin. Asked Denis about the features of the van and he was very informative. We thanked him and left to check out different options. When we were satisfied that the Sprinter is what we wanted, I called Denis back, scheduled a time to come in and purchased the vehicle. We had to wait a bit since he was busy with another customer, but browsing the cars in the show room was a great time killer. He came and got us and we closed the deal in 15 mins. since he had all the paperwork prepared and ready to go. We did not feel any pressure to buy dealing with Denis and he is very knowledgeable about his vehicles. Highly recommnend.

Duke is the best

I recently bought my GLC300 from this place. Since this place was closest to my home and I preferred to get my car here, I decided to go to MB of San Diego after I did my study and checked few other places for a quote. The day I walked in, Duke helped me with it. He was very straight forward, professional, very quick and did not give me a hard sell. He patiently found the car I wanted with all the details I asked for and did not try to push me in buying something else. I took him back and forth to the lot and his table almost 10 times and he was OK with it. And as soon as I found my car, he prepared the paperwork and had me drive out of the door in 30 minutes. Thanks Duke.

POOR Front Desk Customer Service

I have had 2 poor exchanges with the gals up front. it seems that they are there more for ascetics than being friendly and doing their job competently. 1) Left house keys in rental. I called the main # numerous times, not receiving calls backs or follow ups. My keys where where I said they were, but it still took 2 Plus hours to get an answer. Then I had to drive back in the late afternoon when with heavy traffic. 2) Called 5 days ago and asked for someone to give me information on an Extended warrantee. It was 11 AM. Gal said, when one of the finance folks come in, I will have them call. Finally got a call tonight (Monday) at 6 PM. I am probably selling my 2009 CLK 550 this spring and getting an SUV. BMW, HERE I COME.

Sales Rep - Lack of Knowledge, Disinterested, Overly Familiar

It is too long a tale to go into all the details. Suffice to say there were two questions presented to the rep in writing and verbally, multiple times after I paid for the car. I never did receive an answer. In addition, statements made by the rep were without basis. That is, he was winging it. The result was my having to drive the car 2700 miles without any temporary or in-transit tags. In total I found, with one notable exception, personnel would provide the answer they thought you wanted, promise to call back and upon your leaving they simply forget about you. Would I buy there again? Yes, when hell freezes over.

very friendly and helpful

Please note we bought elsewhere because the $ offered elsewhere was too good to pass up, but the S.D. folks were very nice, helpful, friendly. Would have liked to purchased at S.D.. I was very pleased with their followup and would have purchased the car there if they would have offered upfront the same deal we were presented at another dealer. (We weren't even comparison shopping, just checking out the car colors at another dealer at random.) Nevertheless, they were very friendly and we will see them for service.

Very bad sales rep

Might be strange how badly a sales rep at a dealer's can screw up your car buying plans....That's exactly what happened to us at this MBSD....Dealt with Omar over there and for some strange reason he always seemed to have the impression we're not going to buy the vehicle and we're just there to window-shop....I don't even want to get into writing about the way he answered some of our questions....To top it off he didn't even have the brochure for the car and didn't even have the courtesy to mail it over......Overall a very bad experience - my advice atleast stay away from that Omar guy.....

An overall bad experience

Got a car a while back here, and it was an overall bad experience. While the sales people appear friendly at first, they treat you quite badly overall. First, got a terrible deal on trade in. Other dealers can't believe it. Talking thousands. Next, they don't let you test drive alone. Third, you have to hear how good of a deal you're getting 1000x times. Fourth, they come close if not step over a fine line, when it comes to answering questions about the deal. There are a couple things they said that I would call close to lying, if not lying. Overall, I can't sleep at night when I think back about the experience. The only good thing is the car, of course, they have nothing to do with the car. The car's brilliance is thanks to Mercedes Benz in Germany. I'd really encourage them to monitor their dealers more carefully because while they have amazing machines, the people selling them, at least the ones I saw here, create a bad feeling. They also had the tires overinflated significantly, upon receipt, which makes me leery to use their service dept. in the future. Overall, unless I just had a bad luck, I'd encourage people to go elsewhere, for their Mercedes Benz. I may even consider another make in the future because of this dealership.
