My entire experience at Galpin VW was delightful. This was my 8th automobile transaction and it was certainly the smoothest one to date. Everybody at Galpin was very kind and courteous. The staff seemed genuine and I never felt like I was being preyed upon. To me this is worth 1 star because quality customer service should not be a benefit but a staple. The other 4 stars belong to Neil S. and J.C., my representatives and the people responsible for internet sales. Neil is a consummate professional and a gentleman. Starting from research and leading all the way up to my actual showroom visit, his communication was always prompt and honest. When I finally did meet Neil and J.C., their demeanors were calm and welcoming, which is a great way to start the process. Neil was entirely upfront through the negotiations and pointed out the chicanery that some other salespeople pull; most of it being chalked up to bait-and-switch type maneuvers. Even though the quotes from other dealerships I showed him carried hidden provisions, he ended up beating them anyways. Neil got me the price and APR I was looking for despite the other dealerships’ willingness to only give me one or the other. Galpin did not have the exact model I was looking for so the first thing Neil did when I got there was to secure one for me from another dealership. In order to do this, he had to procure the car I wanted from another dealership. This required effort, paperwork, and approval so don’t go expecting that every sales representative or dealership is willing to go this extra mile for you, much less provide same day service. J.C. then drove 30 miles away to pick up the car for me. Once it arrived, they moved it right to the front of the line for Pre-Delivery Inspection and detailing. An additional comment I’d like to make is on the cleanliness and family-friendliness of the showroom. It’s a comfortable and open space with activities for children such as X-Box, Legos, and coloring books. There’s a secluded sitting area with cable TV and iPads as well as free WiFi.
