Stay away from the sales department

Do not under any circumstances consider buying a car from this dealership. I bought a certified preowned Santa Fe from this dealership. The sale required virtually no effort on the part of the dealership--I knew exactly what I wanted and there was very little negotiation. Probably one of the easiest sales they have ever had. Within a couple days after purchasing the car, I noticed an issue with the USB port in the car. It is something that they should have disclosed to me prior to buying the vehicle, but I did not think it was a big deal when I discovered it--I assumed that the dealership would make it right. I was wrong. For the last 10 days, I have been calling, texting, etc. to get someone to give me an answer as to how to get this issue fixed. The two salespeople--Prince Hayes and Miguel (not sure his last name)--have promised to get back to me, but never get back to me. Or they just ignore me altogether. I then spoke to the sales manager--Dean Dixon--who has repeatedly promised to get back to me. He never does, and now he is dodging my calls. I have dealt with many car dealerships over the years, some good and some not so good. But this one is the absolute worst. Stay far far away.

AVOID JAMES!

I saw that that this dealership had great reviews so I drove all the way to this dealership that was 45 minutes away from my home. I was helped by an old man in an American flag mask named James (in hindsight, this was a red flag). During the car buying process, I made a comment about how COVID was going to be stuck with us forever and how it felt weird buying a car that was just going to sit in my parking garage. James decided he wanted to talk politics with me. This culminated in him telling what he thought was a hilarious story about his friend PUNCHING A TRANS WOMAN'S TEETH OUT FOR GOING IN THE SAME BATHROOM AS HIS DAUGHTER! James laughed and laughed as he proudly said that he would do the same while holding a photo of his teenage daughter. I responded "What? So you think that'd make it ok to assault someone? Did you know there's no evidence of trans women ever harming someone in a bathroom? People used to think that gay men were all pedophiles too. It's just propaganda. My best friend is a trans woman and I assure you, there would be much more of a commotion if she went into a men's restroom." I'm pretty sure it all went downhill from there. I should have left, but my lease was up and this was the only dealership that had the lighter interior that I wanted, so I was trapped there with bigoted James. James didn't know anything about the car he was trying to sell me. He didn't know what each package came with and he didn't care to look it up. I told him that I thought something was in a particular model that I was looking at, apparently I was incorrect and I found this out on my own the next day. When I spoke to James about how upset I was about this, he BLAMED ME! During negotiations, I agreed to a certain monthly payment, only to arrive in the room with the finance guy to have the guy tell me a higher number than James had quoted me. James proceeded to BLAME ME for the different price. At this point, I told him that I thought this was shady and didn't want to purchase a car anymore and he tried to INTIMIDATE ME and also tried saying the deal was already done! In conclusion, if you want to get bullied by a car salesman, James at Harbor Hyundai is your guy!

Warranty repair above and beyond

We had a strange behavior related to the transmission on our new Kona, dealer was able to replicate. We were scheduled to go on a road trip but were concerned the problem would become more severe or result in the car lurching forward to vehicle in front of us. Scott ranged for a replacement transmission to be shipped and dealer loaner car for the duration of the repair, allowing us to take our vacation and get the car repair done. Above and beyond

Unhappy Customer

I took my car for service and has a coupon for $5 off an oil change. When I checked my car in with Jake. Jake told me the $5 would be taken off at the time of check-out. That wasn't honored by JAKE the FAKE! He had lied, It was a humiliated experience and I'd never step foot in that place again. I'll go to a dealership that appreciates it's customers.

Best dealership ever

We purchased our new Hyundai Santa Fe this summer and I've had it back for free check and free oil change. From our buying experience to servicing, we've never felt pressured and got a much better price than we could get close to our home. I called the Service Dept to see if I could come in the same day for oil change and software update. Amazingly they got me in within an hour of my call. Great purchasing experience and fantastic Service Dept. Definitely worth the drive for me.

Excellent service

As always, Scott Jones and the excellent staff here make the experience friendly, expeditious, and affordable. I always come here for oil changes and any service that this dealership provides when my car requires it. I always leave here with a smile--in this case, it was a broken rearview mirror. The part was ordered and arrived very fast-and the service to repair it was fast and affordable. I highly recommend this dealer.

Repetitious problems.

I have an ongoing issue with my Hyundai. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership 3 weeks straight everytime I return to my normal daily activities the vehicle will be in satisfactory condition until a few days later where the same ongoing issue occurs or another issue that relates to the initial problem begins to occur. I have expressed that I felt unsafe many times in this vehicle to consumer affairs, corporate and the dealership service department. Yet, the personnels state the car is in working condition. I disagree and will not allow any family members inside this automobile.
