Sunset Auto Center of Lompoc is Awesome

Our first new car was a 1980 Chevy Monza Spider, which was the last Chevy we ever bought; until on March 8th when we bought a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ. Through the years, we purchased 1 Plymouth, 2 Fords and 7 Toyotas, so we aren’t strangers to the new car buying process. I can also tell you that our car buying experiences were generally poor to miserable. Context is important in our review of Sunset Auto Center of Lompoc, CA. Lompoc is 163 miles from where we live, so we communicated via email and text for nearly all the preliminary work. From my earliest email contact with our sales consultant Tyson Uribe to shaking his hand just before leaving the dealership, he was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt with answers to my questions, and understood my apprehension working with a dealership so far away from home. We had substantial email communication, and he was spot on with all the things I was looking for. He and I only discussed an ‘out the door’ price from the very beginning. He provided me with an itemized ‘out the door’ quote. At this point, the other dealerships I was considering would not itemize their offers. Prior to arriving at the dealership, he helped with my military discount and made everything ready for a comfortable and straight forward experience at the dealership. The Sales Manager, George Nordquist was like no other I’ve ever met. He and I talked on the phone early in the process when it was evident that I had made up my mind to purchase through Sunset Auto Center. Based on forthright information I sent him about my trade-in, he made me a very fair offer. Once we arrived at the dealership, he had our trade-in appraised almost instantly, and immediately confirmed the price he offered us earlier. He also made sure that I was able to place a small deposit to hold the truck until we could get down there, which was a good since someone tried to buy the truck even though it had a ‘sold’ sign on it! Salvador Arias, Finance Manager was like no other we’ve ever met. Our F&I experience with Salvador was by far the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. As I stated above, we’ve purchased a few cars in our lifetime. Everything was ready for us. Absolutely ZERO high pressure up sale shenanigans. Extended warranty was presented, and Salvador accepted my answer without hesitation. For this alone we’re grateful. There were no surprises in the contract and the math was correct the first time! Overall, our experience was beyond excellent. Our appointment was for 9:00 am and we were done by 12:00 noon. Yes, start to finish for the in-person part of the process took us less time than the drive down to Lompoc. Communication was exemplary, pricing was more than fair for both the Silverado and for our trade-in, and our experience with the folks at Sunset Auto Center was above reproach. We bypassed at least 15 dealerships between here and Lompoc. Our experience was so positive, we plan to travel back to Lompoc, stay a couple days and do our first service on the Silverado. Worse experience, last car I get from them.

It has been the worst experience. This is not my first car that buy from this dealership but for sure the last one I get from them. Lack of communication, honesty and information. The ask you to sign contract without explanation or letting you everything. It took forever to sign documents and they give me everything almost at closing time, so you feel the pressure to sign. If someone will ask me today about recommending the dealership, I will definitely say don't go with them. Sadly, they don't care about how you feel has a costumer they don't do anything so leave happy. If you can look for another dealership to get your chevy.

Engine issues still

I just had work on my car last Friday and today was worse than before, I dont think what I paid $220 for corrected the issues. May I bring it in asap? Please & thank you
