Just Another Data Point: by div2 on Tue Dec 20 14:44:44 PST 2005; If you don't mind driving a 2.5, there are some really good CPO deals out there. My wife and I recently picked up a 16K 2004 2.5 with Step, PP, CWP, Heated Wheel, Leather, Privacy Glass, Satellite Prep and Xenons for $29595+TTL. Our dealer was Swope BMW in Louisville, KY. We are extremely happy with our new(to us) SAV and the dealership.

Not that I've bought there, but the guys at Voss BMW in Centerville (Dayton), OH seem to be straight shooters... Other than that, Chicago has eight dealers.. I wouldn't consider going that far out of town unless it will save you at least $1000.. Buying at the local dealer is always preferable... That said, D&R sure doesn't have a reputation for great deals... Alternatively, you could try Swope in Louisville... There are dealers in Bowling Green and Paducah, KY as well... I'd guess both of those are as close as Chicago.. (maybe not). regards, kyfdx

BMW Dealers who'll lease using BMWFS base rates: by mabubba on Tue Mar 15 10:47:37 PST 2005; Hi all, I am looking for a dealer who'll lease using the BMWFS base rates. In general, is this something I'll have to negotiate with any BMW dealer or will I be able to get the base numbers from the start at certain dealers? I would prefer to not have to haggle of the financing terms and just over the selling price (and in my case my trade-in value). Any ideas? I am in Indiana, and I've contacted 3 'local' dealers, 3 answered my lease quote request and all 3 padded the base rates for back end profit. I am willing to travel so if you know of any specific dealers let me know. I tried Sam Swope in Louisville, KY through email, but no reply. Thanks, mabubba
