Buying a car from a BMW Car Dealer
I thought this lease deal was pretty good (New Century, Alhambra, CA) 328i Navi Steptronic Premium Pkg MSRP: 40300 Invoice: 37690 Selling price: 36690 (-3610 off MSRP, -1000 off invoice) 15K @ 36 mos (56% residual) MF = 0.00091 (w/ 4000 sec deposit) Monthly payment inc. tax = 483 Drive off = 5731 includes: License fee: 303 Bank fee: 898 First month Security deposit = 4000 Lease would've been 0 security deposit with 524/mo, and total lease payments would've been 20K and some change With 4000 security deposit and 483/mo, total lease payments ~18600. --experience-- Salesperson saved me $1400 because I didn't know about MSDs. First dealership I went to didn't even bother telling me about MSDs Also, salesperson had his lease calc on his computer in front of me the whole time, and did a 'print screen' when we were done. Took the time to go over lease calculations until I figured out how to do it right. All this, and didn't ask any questions initially but went below invoice without having to haggle to get there.

Try New Century BMW in Alhambra. It's right on the South Pasadena line. They had at least 5 or 6 X5 3.0's for that exact same MSRP a couple weeks back. Both of the sales managers seem very open to skipping the sales floor BS. I helped my cousin lease a Z4 there a few months back and the service department is very responsive for me as well.
Bought a Blk/Blk 525iA with SP, PP, Xenon in June. Price was $37.8K, plus $45 doc fee, from New Century BMW in Alhambra, CA. Reg fee was $291 and tax was $3,127. Out of the door $41,263. Bought cash from the internet sales manager. Could have gotten maybe another $100 less from Crevier BMW in Orange county, but New Century is much closer (helps to get better loaner service if you bought the car from the dealer). Should have gotten the power rear sunshade as well. Otherwise, can't be happier with the car. Hope this helps, and good luck.
