Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
jwalter, Dealers have so many ways of making money and profit off of selling a new car is not their best source of income. Selling Pre-Owned vehicles make a lot of money as well al taking in trade-ins at very low price. Service make tons of money, so the more cars they sell, the more serivices they do. Some manufacturers also provide trunk money, bonuses, incentives for meeting certain sales volume, advertising fees etc.
I'm looking to lease a new A6 wagon - I have and older 1999 A6 wagon that I want to trade in - runs great still and has only 77K miles on it. The one dealer I went to said he would not take a care that is from 1999. anyone have experience with trade ins such as this and what value can I expect? The blue book for trade in is $4,300 but I doubt I would be able to sell it for that. any experiences/advice? I find is strange that a dealer would not take it in trade. We take in trade anything with wheels, you might not like what we can give you for it, but we will take it. I would suggest calling other dealers. Mico

Sorry - some newbie questions here on leasing. I've got a 2010 Q5 on order with my dealer with delivery expected in a few weeks. I've always been a buy and hold kind of car buyer, but am now more inclined to keep a car a few years and then trade in to get the newer, better technology that will inevitably come with time. I've never leased a car before but am thinking that may be a better option for me now. My questions are: 1. Does the dealer care if I am leasing or buying? In other words I was planning on buying but if I move to lease will they care? 2. I have a trade in with blue book of about 8K. How are trade-ins factored in, or do you not do a trade in with a new lease? 3. What is "residual" and "MF"? Thanks for all the info.
has anyone leased a new audi a4 in the northern nj area? im 19 and will be paying for most, if not all, of my payment and have fallen IN LOVE with the 2009 a4. im trying to find a real good deal but dont intend on putting any money down and would be doing a 36 month lease. i wanted the 19" sport package but heard it had a long delay on it, so the only option i would be getting is the ipod interface thing any info would be great
