Buy used. Sadly the A3's resale isn't so bueno, so you can get a used 1 year old model for about 33% off MSRP.

In socal we see 06 A3s getting listed for 22-23k with 25-30k miles. Cracks us up as we bought our 2006 DSG with 12k miles on it for 22.5k in March of 07. Not often you can buy a used car and feel like you can resell it for the same price a year later.

It's pretty soft. Like I said, my fiancee is one prone to car sickness and even she asked to tighten up the suspension. Part of that may be attributed to riding in my BMWs and Cooper but still she finds it a bit sloppy day to day.
