onThis is a review on my purchasing experience at Lawley Team Ford. Words cannot express about my dissatisfaction; however, I did have a few positive interactions. I was in the market to buy a used Toyota Prius at the Lawley Ford/Kia branch by the Valero gas station. My salesperson was Daniel Wichgers and was very helpful with my purchase. Purchasing the car was something that I was not sure about mainly because the car was a little over my budget and I was concerned about the work that was done on the Toyota Prius considering it has over 80,000 miles on it. Daniel Wichgers assured to me that tons of maintenance was done on the car at the service station right by the Ford/Kia building. What made me believe this statement was the price of the whole purchase; I was told that at least $2,000.00 was made on refurbishing the car. Knowing this made me more inclined to purchase the vehicle so that I can avoid any mechanical problems for the time being. It was a done deal; I purchased the Prius along with the help of a couple trade-ins. After driving the Prius for a couple of days, I noticed that the check-engine light came on. Part of me wanted to believe that the gas cap was not properly closed, but that wasn’t the issue. I purchased the car on Friday, 6/12/2020 and the light flashed on Sunday, 6/14/2020. Not being able take the car in on Sunday I took the car to O’Reilly Auto Parts to see if they could scan the code. Apparently the EGR valve was dirty and it needed to be cleaned out. Hearing this made me question how much “work” was done on the car prior to my purchase. That night, I scheduled an appointment to the service center by Ford/Kia first thing in the morning since I was told by Daniel Wichgers that it was maintained at that location. Driving into the service station I met with Joe Woznick. I immediately told him the check engine light came on and that I had the code scanned from O’Reilly’s. Joe Woznick told me that they do not work on Toyota models at their location and that in order for it to be looked at was to take it to Sierra Toyota by the post office. I was thoroughly confused because I was told that work was done on the vehicle at the Ford/Kia location and not to mention, I bought the car from this location. It didn’t make sense to me and Joe Woznick lacked a huge amount of empathy for my problem. After explaining my concern with Joe Woznick, he agreed to take the car to Sierra Toyota so that they can properly fix my car and offered me a shuttle to my house. After waiting a couple of hours, I called the Sierra Toyota location and asked if my car was being looked at. The person on the other end of the line was confused because my car was not at their location. There is no communication going on between Joe and me. I was told that my car was going to be looked at by Sierra Toyota and it wasn’t there. I immediately called Joe Woznick to asked what the issue is with my car. Joe Woznick told me that Sierra Toyota could not make time to look at my car and that they would do work on it instead. I was already annoyed because I wished that Joe would’ve called me about this so that I am kept in the loop. After three days of being carless I was told that my car was fixed and was ready for pick-up. The EGR Valve was cleaned out and fixed. Before I even made it home the check engine light came on and I took it back. Another service advisor (don’t know his name) scanned the car and the code pulled up an issue with the EGR. The service advisor assured me that it was a history code and maybe the mechanic that worked on the car forgot to clear out the memory. More and more negative assurances kept popping up and I was told that if the light comes on again that I can bring it back. Another couple of days went by and the check-engine light came on again. I scheduled another appointment and took it back. At this point I knew what the problem was, and it was obvious that the EGR needed to be replaced. After waiting on my car which took about a week to replace and repair the EGR, Jose Burghardt called me and told me that my car was fixed, and Jose explained everything to me which was quite helpful consider the lack of communication I was receiving with Joe Woznick. Immediately after pick-up I drove to Tucson and back to Sierra Vista to assure myself that the car was fixed. So far, no check-engine light appears on my car (knock on wood). Here’s my review, I was told false information about the maintenance of the car by Daniel Wichgers, I was shown horrible customer service skills by Joe Woznick, and there wasn’t any communication. It’s not entirely Daniel’s fault considering that may have been something he was told which explains the lack of communication within Lawley. At the end of the day I have my car fixed, however, I feel embarrassed to say that I bought a car from Lawley that spent more time at the service station than it did in my parking lot.

Good truck. Poor service after the sale

onPretty good deal on the truck. Staff was very helpful before the sale, but would not return my calls or emails after the sale when I needed help with some documents. Also was supposed to get a second key fob and have an alarm installed, doesn’t look like that’s going to happen

onI went to a week-long off-site event they had to check whether my flyer won a prize one evening after work. At the time, I had an idea what type of vehicle I was starting look for. The salesman, Anthon, was very helpful and polite, listened to what I had to say, showed me just what I asked for and was not at all pushy (unlike some car salesmen I've encountered). I test drove a couple vehicles that night,so I had an idea what they were. The next night, I came back and less than three hours later, I was leaving the lot with my vehicle quite happy. It's been a very nice ride in the couple weeks since and I'm very happy and looking forward to many more years to come.

onOur experience was very good, the salesman who was very helpful and showed up a various vehicles until we found one that fit us. The only low spot was at the dealer, waiting to sign all the documents and waiting to see the finance person even though we were paying cash, why does it take two hours to complete a sale ??

Love our new Escape so far

onWe were very sad when our 2010 Escape died after 167,000 miles. We loved the previous body style of the Ford Escapes and weren't all that excited to purchase a new one that now looks like almost every other car on the road. However, when we were faced with the reality of buying a new car, the Escape was still our best value. And so far we're very happy with our new car.
