[non-permissible content removed]!!!! Beware!!!

by Marquez on 09/28/2020

Now we’re in the process of starting the legal proceedings. The car is in the dealership possession, we don’t agree to new terms and they refuse to refund my down payment – what a scam!!! My bank also confirmed that under no circumstances do they force Warranty or GAP on the customer, it’s optional and entirely up to me.

WORST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER

by ebriggs on 08/24/2018

Worst car buying experience EVER!!! In August 2016 I purchased a Nissan Rogue from Peoria Nissan. The entire experience was great! We had a great salesman, transaction went smooth and left with my brand new car! Fast forward to August 2018. I decided I wanted to trade in the Rogue and get something smaller. I drive 20 miles one way to work and needed something better on gas. I had my heart set on a 2018 Nissan Sentra SR. I decided to go back to Peoria Nissan. What a completely 100% different experience. HORRIBLE!! After 7 hours, I left the lot with my new car. A silver 2018 Nissan Sentra SR. I had test driven a black one but was told I could get a better rebate on the silver one because it had been on the lot longer. I finally drove off the lot at 9:30 pm and immediately had 2 warning lights come on (low tire pressure and front break assist not working). I went ahead and drove home and would deal with them the next day. I took the car in after work and they claimed they fixed both issues. I drove around the rest of the afternoon running errands with no problems. The next morning I get in the car to go to work and BOTH warning lights come on again. I go to work. As I’m backing into my parking spot at work, the entire back of my seat FALLS and I’m all of a sudden in the back seat (thankfully it didn’t happen on the road). I call Peoria Nissan to explain what happened. They come pick up the car and bring me a rental to use until my husband (who is now out of town) and I can come back in and pick out a different car (the silver one has been labeled a bad car). The following Monday I go back to Peoria Nissan and pick out a new car and leave with a 2018 Nissan Sentra SR Midnight Edition. I get in to go to work the next day and once again WARNING LIGHTS!!! I go to work and speak with my boss who graciously allows me to take the day off to go back to the dealership and get my car taken care of. I have taken pictures and show them to Scott in the service center. He says he will figure out what is going on. Long story short, there is a problem in the production of the front break assist sensor. He tells me a recall will be issued but has not been done yet. He’s never seen the problem on a Sentra. Only the Rogues and Pathfinders. He puts me on the list to have the sensor replaced. I’m 12th on the list. I go to wash off the windshield while I am on a trip in Tucson and I hear a loud “screeeech” METAL ON GLASS! THERE ARE NO WIPER BLADES!! I call the dealership and tell them I am headed in from Tucson and explain what happened. I arrive at the dealership and after being harassed that someone stole them, they take the wiper blades off another car and put them on mine. They put some sort of filler in the scratch. It is right in my line of sight and I can still see the scratch. Scott (sales manager) says he will see what can be done to fix it. My husband and I return YET AGAIN to the dealership on 8/16 to resign documents for my new car. I speak with Scott, one of the sales managers (I’ve been dealing with him since they brought me a rental) I show him pictures I took of the car the day after I got it and show him there were no wiper blades and nobody stole them, they sold me the car without them. By now, I myself have spent over 17 hours at Peoria Nissan since starting the whole car buying process 1.5 weeks prior. My husband gets a call on 8/21 stating they are going to replace the windshield because the scratch is right in my line of sight. Ok, thank you for replacing the windshield. On 8/22 he gets ANOTHER phone call stating yet again, the paperwork was wrong and we needed to come in AGAIN to fill out the paperwork. Magically, 10 minutes later, he gets another phone call that the paperwork is fine. At this point, I am beyond frustrated and just about to give back the car and I will go somewhere else. The only semi understanding person through this whole thing has been the sales manager Scott. I am not sure what is going on at Peoria Nissan, but it needs to change. QUICK! This has been the worst car buying experience I have ever been through and have made sure to tell my friends and family to never purchase a vehicle from Peoria Nissan. This is long enough, I’m not even going to get into the problems with the 2 sales women we’ve had, Adrianna and Bailey. I have spent way too much time being stressed out about this whole situation I have yet to enjoy my new car. On 8/19, we received a phone call and text messages from Bailey demanding the other key back for the silver Sentra I initially had. I was not able to talk on the phone at the time so I text her back telling her I had given the key to Scott (sales manager) about a week and a half ago. Now, we are at 3 weeks dealing with everything. 3 WEEKS!! I feel this is completely unacceptable. I am not sure where he went, but someone needs to find Eduardo (our initial sales man when I purchased the Rogue in August 2016) and bring him back. He seems to be the only one that knew what he was doing and made the car buying process easy and smooth. He was amazing. I am 100% dissatisfied with Peoria Nissan and will not purchase another vehicle from there. When my lease is up on my new car, I will give the car back and will go to another dealership for a car. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!! Yes, Scott has been helpful with having the windshield replaced and having a rental car delivered to my work, but don’t new cars come with windshield wipers? Maybe that’s part of an extra package I didn’t purchase. Through all of this, I have barely gotten an apology for all the issues or any type of offer of compensation. I have taken time off work, time out of my day, time I could have been enjoying my new car to deal with issue after issue. The sensor issue has yet to be fixed, but I understand we are waiting on the part and it will be replaced when the new part comes in. I hope nobody has to go through what I have the past 3 weeks with Peoria Nissan, but I’m sure I am not alone. I’m sure others have had problems with Peoria Nissan.

Violating Experience

by Cool2bjess on 08/12/2018

Do not work with this company. They are really dishonorable in their business dealings. My husband and I bought a used vehicle from them, having driven an hour each way from our home to do so. They ran our credit multiple times- which is a problem because we're trying to buy a home and they damaged it by doing that so much (4 times!). We had come in with a pre-approved for a loan from a lending company anyway! Then, when we finally had everything decided and signed, we were told that sorry, they didn't actually have the deed to the vehicle and we couldn't take it home! They sold an item that they couldn't prove they owned and they led us on for hours! They told us they'd have the deed the next day. It took them a week and a half. Once we were finally allowed to come for the car that we had already been paying insurance on for 10 days--- the windshield was had a huge crack right in the driver's eyeline and there was barely any gas in the tank. We were told it wasn't their problem. I am absolutely disgusted that these people treat their customers this way. This whole process has been cruel and dishonest. I will never go anywhere near that place again and I recommend that you don't give them the time of day

[non-permissible content removed] CAN'T DO SIMPLE MATH

by Mathelte on 05/27/2018

Wow...how many "sales managers" does it take to give you a straight honest answer? NONE AT PEORIA NISSAN! They tried to take our debit card to hold along with our car keys as a way for us to show THEM our "good faith" that we would work with the numbers they come up with. Give me a break! Also, every time they came back to the table it was "if I can try to get you THIS number all you need to do is initial here: X____________and we have a deal". What crap! I took the paper from them and said "AND, if you can give me THIS number, YOU sign here X_________and I will do a deal. We were at first interested in a car that would not work for our budget and they said if we choose the NEW 2018 Altima with Memorial Day Special with the $6000 off the MSRP, that they :would make the numbers work". Well, they LIED AGAIN. We found a 2018 Nissan Altima "S" that qualified for the $6000 off. Here is the actual vehicle we were told would meet our budget. 2018 Nissan Altima "S"- Black Stock # : 180566 VIN : 1N4AL3AP1JC178708 MSRP:$25,090 Savings:$1,772 Nissan Offer:$4,000 Nissan Offer:$500 Final Price $18,818 BTW: you MUST finance with Nissan in order to get the $6000 incentive. But, we found that out hours after we were there and could not try for other loans with other banks to get a lower interest rate. LIED AGAIN. We were upside down on our trade-in and needed to include that in our final numbers so they suggested that they could get us a better monthly payment if we took our vehicle and did a "voluntary repossession" instead of trading it in. "Oh, just leave your car in some parking lot and then call the bank and tell them to pick up the car and it's really not as bad as if the bank repo'd it themselves." ONE OF MANY LIES. ANY repo stays on your credit for 7 years! What [non-permissible content removed]! Not one, but TWO "sales managers" suggested that so they didn't have to bother adding in the $3500 amount we were upside down to the price/deal. But the biggest problem, is that every time they "worked the numbers" the starting price was $26,517. When I pointed out on their own website that it was the above price of $25,090 and THAT should be the starting number, every one of the "sales managers" were SO CONFUSED with how I came up with that MSRP! When you looked at their actual math, we got a whole $40 off the price. After buying cars for 40 years, I have never had a worse experience.

Avoid Peoria Nissan!

by NoDeal1 on 11/18/2016

I'm not a fan of a dealership that employs what I consider to be "bait and switch" tactics and certainly doesn't value a potential customer. I plan to review with the AG's office as well. If you're looking for an attitude, their GSM is more than willing to deliver. I will gladly take my business to a dealership that values integrity and one that wants to earn my business.

They Lied Through Their Teeth Here !!!

by andguy23 on 01/31/2016

This dealership played a price game with us for 3 hours until they came back with a cash price of $10,339.41 out the door for the 2013 Silver Avenger that we had been looking at. It was about 7pm and I had asked them to clean up the car since it was a recently obtained trade in car that had not been detailed and was a mess . I told them that I would go eat , and then come back in about 40 minutes to see how the car cleaned up , and if the 2 big scratches on the hood would come off. They absolutely agreed to that and the sales rep drove the car back to the clean up bays. 40 minutes later I come back, drive back to the clean up bay . I see the car parked there , but NOBODY EVEN REMOTELY NEARBY . So I get out , walk up to the car, and I see that it hasnt been touched at all , not vacuumed, not fixed door panel , scratches on hood not touched . Now upset ( We had a deal) I call the front and ask whats going on. 10 minutes later about 6 people arrive acting as if their trying to get the car cleaned up. The sales manager who gave me a written price of $10,339.41 , and agreed to have me come back now,,,,,,HAD NOW LEFT APPARENTLY !! How do you make a deal, agree to it, then go home for the night ?? Anyways, Still somewhat interested , I tell the other salesman that once it cleans up the next day, then call me , and I'd come down. The next day, around 3pm a sales rep calls me and tells me it's all cleaned up. I come down. Now in the light, and cleaned up , I see 4 very large dents all across the trunk of the Avenger. Still interested , I ask for my sales guy, I was told he was off today , Okay who do I speak to then ?? This guy comes out ( Scott Smith) , I show him the dents and ask if he would go lower because of the newfound damage. He tells me $11,590.46 !!! Wait I have the paper that offered me $10,339.41 last night, Now we have damage, and the price goes UP NOT DOWN ??!! I showed the paper , and again asked them to call the sales guy that was working with me,REFUSED I have tried now for 2 days calling and getting a hold of the General Manager Chuck Morris so that I could speak to him about this . For whatever reason my messages either aren't getting thru , or Mr Morris could care less about his customers treatment . His receptionist has even told me that she would e-mail him with my info , no luck there either. I have the paperwork that told me the price would be $10,339.41 out the door TT&L , The next day EVERYONE sees the damage that was previously missed , and rather than lower the price a few hundred , They ignore even the agreed upon price of $10,339.41,,,,,,,AND RAISE IT $1,251.05 ??!! THAT'S SCAMFULL!!!

SO DISAPPOINTING!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

by Cosciafamily on 07/31/2015

So disappointing!!! We rated them a 1 star review because 0 wasn't an option. We were so committed to driving home with our new cars today. My wife and I walked in wanting to buy 2 vehicles and all they wanted to do was drive my Honda Pilot touring. We mentioned that we were potentially wanting to trade in our vehicle and it became their only focus. The salesman Robert was nice but as soon as he introduced us to his manger it quickly became sour. The manager was condescending and very abrasive. It's obvious that this dealership does not value common decency. I would never recommend or trust this dealership!!! It was by far the worst experience I've ever had in buying a car!!!

They don't listen

by amaz on 06/01/2015

I stopped in today just to see what they have for used Murano's and was met with not one but two [non-permissible content removed] who don't listen. I told the first one several times I am not buying today and do not want an appraisal on my car. He insisted he had to get some information on me before even showing me their cars even though I said several times I just want to see what you have. Then he insisted he had to give me his business card but that meant I had to go back into the dealership again. So of course then a sales manager comes out. I told him several times too I am not buying today and I don't want an appraisal on my car. They don't listen. I finally said I am leaving and walked out. This dealership is part of the Van Tuyl group and this is how they do business at all of their dealerships. They are [non-permissible content removed] and don't know how to treat customers or potential customers. Trust me I will never set foot in that place again.

Bait & Switch - Sold a Lemon

by TerryVP on 12/01/2014

I don't wish anyone the pain of dealing with these people. In an effort to help my daughter with a lemon she bought from this dealer, I attempted to reason with the "finance" guys (yes, had to deal with multiple "finance" guys, who all are sequestered "behind the curtain" so as to ensure the most complicated discussion of a deal can be heaped upon us, as if the only consideration is "how much can you pay a month"!). After hours of explaining the details of the lemon they sold my daughter (to multiple people), then deciding to bite the bullet and trade it in for a used Nissan Versa, we had to endure 2 more hours of waiting and negotiating with the "man behind the curtain" before they finally decided they wouldn't deal with us on the lemon they sold us just 9 months earlier (purchased for $8k, trade-in value $3.8k in 9 months!!). Terrible experience, untrustworthy dealing, frustrating at every level, promising one thing, only to not step up and close a "deal" by trying to sell us on bigger ticket car (read more debt).......have never written a negative review for anything, but this was so over the top awful, just want to warn the public......beware of aggressive pricing, they'll get you if you're not paying attention!! They deserve a 0......

Beware!

by Be3 on 02/12/2014

I called to make an inquiry about a vehicle I saw on the internet. I spoke with Jason H who identified himself as the internet manager. I was very specific about what I wanted and yet Mr. H immediately started letting me know why my choices weren't right or that I should look at other options. He requested my phone and email and against my better judgement I gave them to him. I told him I would be looking for cars in a couple days and he was insistant I make an appointment to come see him. I refused and told him I wasn't making and specific commitment and I'd see what I could do. I was very adamant that I didn't want calls or emails. I didn't go to see cars on the day I expected, but I did get 2 calls from Jason that day and an email. The following day I was trying to have my birthday lunch with my family and he called again. When I shut him down quickly and hung up he called right back and started yelling me about missing an appointment with him the previous day. He was yelling to the point that the 4 other people at the table could hear him. I finally had to just hang up on him again. I was visibly shaken and everyone was shocked that he would think it professional or appropriate to call and talk to anyone that way, none the less a prospective buyer. This "internet manager" is offensive, pushy and doesn't listen. Of course I'll be taking my business elsewhere and if you like to be listened to and treated with respect I suggest you do to!

Dont buy a car here!!!

by catweek on 04/17/2013

This dealership and Peoria Ford across the street have the same ownership and both operate equally inadequately. Customer service is lacking and both approach their sales on what payment a customer is looking for rather than the price of the car. Both dealerships will go to any length to achieve a payment that fits your budget, however, they will have you making payments for 84 months or more and then act like they're giving you a great deal. They quote one price and then when you get down to writing the figures, they want extra cash and then give you a list of varoius additional costs not covered in the quote, like some ridiculous paint coating that is already on the car! It's hard to get a straight answer out of either dealership. And, they're big into drawings of how much money they save you and drawings of how much "negative equity" you have. They will do anything to confuse you and not deal with real numbers.

Purchase of 2012 Frontier SV

by dandeeone on 10/15/2012

My salesperson quoted me a cash price out the door and he delivered. They did not sig another manager on me to try to up the quoted price via phone I was pleased with the experience. Prior to my transaction with this dealer I contacted another Nissan dealer and he quoted me a price on the phone, but when I went to the dealership they put the newest sales rep on me. I asked for the manager who quoted me the price and I was informed he is too busy to see you. This sales rep wanted me to come up with more money. I said he quoted me this price and his manager above him approved the price. Then another manager came over and wanted me to come up with more money. I walked out of the dealership never to return again.

Very satisfied

by sabamerica on 10/10/2012

I purchased a brand new vehicle from Peoria Nissan, 2 weeks ago. Drove off the lot about 10:30pm. Hever, did all he could to show all the little details how to operate the vehicle. He got it detailed, however it was late at night and had not done a great job. He invited me to go back and have it all done all over. I went back another sales person had some attitude because my services were not written on we owe, he contacted his manager who said "its a brand new car, of course he will get all those things done." Immediately ordered the sales person to take care of the things i needed. Plus, they detailed it again. Well, i had forgotten to tell them that one of the head lights had a weird scratch on it that i had noticed after i drove it home. A week after the second service went back and was scheduled to have my light fixed with no charge to me. The sales person who sold me the vehicle also gave me sun shades just as a good gesture. I have received phone calls and emails to remind me of my appointment to fix the light and about my experience in buying my vehicle. oh, and i got a 45 dollars gift card :D I am definitely satisfied thus far with my experience at Peoria Nissan. Again, every where you there will always be the good ones you end up working with and the bad ones. I was lucky. Not to mention i was there earlier in the day for hours trying to negotiate a price on another vehicle. However, it didnt even phase Hever, worked with us again for another 3 hours. Thanks!

great place to buy a car

by smhawes on 09/10/2010

What a great place to go to find a car! Mr.Mills immediately answered my request and then put me in touch with Mike Neal to help me find the perfect car. I was never rushed or pushed. He listened to me and then found exactly what i was looking for. I was always treated with respect. Mr. Burke put in so much effort to find us the best financing and we got the best financing available for us. He was very knowledgable about the the extras that would make having this car a real plus. Mike knew everything about the cars. These gentlemen were a great team and i feel lucky to have done busness with them.

Worst Service Ever, Sold Me A Lemon And Wouldn't Fix It!

by scotk on 04/24/2009

Where do I start..They start by lying to you that they are all about service. The general manager's email to me states "we strive to create a relationship that earns us a lifetime customer. We want you to service with us, buy more vehicles from us, and most importantly, feel comfortable in recommending us to your friends." Yeah right! I bought my car from them out of state. Before I picked up the car I asked them to have the car cleaned inside & out. The interior had blood splattered all over the passenger seat, sunroof and paneling. Their was garbage under the seats, the floors were covered in dog hair. The engine was filthy. The grill was not attached to the car, the struts were bad, the hood lifts were broken. And all of this was new to the salesman selling the car. When I asked him about what certain knobs/buttons were he had no idea. During the final paperwork, the man was combative and would not answer my questions regarding warranties, etc. He "worked for the owner, not the sales team" he said. As if my my questions were inappropriate. After deciding to buy the car because I was getting a good deal, I left. I had 1000 miles to drive home. After driving 450 miles the car had major issues. The lights failed, a warning light that said the brakes had failed came on, I had zero rpms, no hazards, no heat, the doors would not lock, and more. I immediately called the dealer and reported this to the salesman and the manager. They said that they would take care of everything, just be safe. After getting it to the dealer in my hometown, the chief mechanic determined that the electrical system had failed, the radiator was cracked and more. When I contacted the salesman, multiple managers, and even the general manager they just ignored me and my calls. They wanted nothing to do with me now that I owned the car. It took me 2 weeks to get them to cover the price of a new radiator only. I would have to pay for installation and any other costs to the car. Overall worst dealer I have ever dealt with, and we recently bought a new saturn from the saturn dealer in Boise, ID- they were great. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH PEORIA NISSAN. I DON'T CARE HOW GOOD THE DEAL IS, IT'S NOT WORTH THE HASSLE OF WORKING WITH THIS BUSINESS. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERAL REGARDING THIS DEALERSHIP. Please take my advice. I am not mad about being treated badly, I am truly frustrated about such bad service and the lack of steps that they have taken to ensure my happiness and safety.
