I was told the software update was done however I would need a NEW transmission. I asked how much that would cost, $8,000 -9,000 was the answer I was given. This was quickly followed up by, " You're better off just getting a new truck because the cost of the transmission is more than the value of your truck". I was told the reason the software update didn't work is due to the 6 error codes that came up on the diagnostic test. I was told that 5 of the 6 error had to do with the transmission. When I got home I ask Long Lewis to email me the codes. They did send me the codes. I looked them up myself and found not a single code had to do with a transmission issue every one of the codes dealt with an electric issue. Now losing all my trust I completely I contacted my brother in St. Louis. He took the codes to his mechanic and found it would be cheaper for me to have my truck TOWED TO STL WORKED ON THERE AND BROUGHT BACK TO BIRMINGHAM than to have Long Lewis replace the transmission that did not need to be replaced. The second part that really made me made was Long Lewis sent out a survey and asked how likely I am to recommend them in the future. I gave them a score of "not at all likely". I was contacted by an individual from Long Lewis and was asked to change my score because "you took money out of the pocket of the service writer". They made no attempt to find a way to meet my needs they only cared about their rating. They offered no other solution other than $9k on a new transmission or buy a new truck. By the way the MSRP on a 2024 F150 Lariat starts at $65,000. While that was their solution I was able to find a used transmission for under $1,000 and I didn't even need it. I was able to have the electrical issues fixed for under $700 BY A MECHANIC IN ST. LOUIS!!!!

In nearly 50 years of purchasing new vehicles this was my best experience! My wife and I worked with Ellijah and we were delighted with his knowledge, integrity, honesty and experience. He worked diligently to find us rebates and discounts in purchasing our new 2023 Ford F-150. From the sales manager to the finance and warranty manager, everyone was outstanding. Additionally, when Long-Lewis states no hidden fees they mean it! We paid sales tax and a $16.50 title fee. This saved us over $800.00 in fees when compared to what another dealer was going to charge us ($699.00 doc fee, $100.00 title fee, and a $80.00 electronic fee…whatever that is). I would highly recommend Long-Lewis Automotive Group in Hoover to anyone! We drove 2 hours to get there; take the trip, it will be worth your time.

My 14 year old Ford Focus' steering column was experiencing shaking/vibration a few weeks ago - Mr. Ng at Quick Lane did a test drive and surmised that it was the engine mount(s). I made an appointment with the regular service department, who, upon their inspection, agreed with Mr. Ng's assessment. This was Thursday November 9th, and I was told that my car would be ready on Monday the 13th. Well, Monday rolls around, and not only was my car ready, but the cost was less than the gentleman at service, Mr. Bruce Williams, had originally estimated! On top of all that - I discovered that Long Lewis would actually deliver my car to me at my home - which they did. Thanks everyone!

I drove by Long Lewis Ford on September 29, 2023 to order new Michelin Defender tires for my 2010 Ford Focus, and was happily surprised when Mr. Ng said that I could come in the next day to have them installed! The next day I was seen promptly, and the tire installation only took an hour or so. Added perk - as I was leaving, Mr.Ng handed me a rebate sheet to apply for a $100 rebate on my new tires. Awesome! - thanks everyone.

Just had the 10,000 mile "works" service package completed on my F-150 in the Long-Lewis Quick Lane. No appointment needed. I dropped the truck off for my convenience and all work was performed as expected, the truck was available when promised, there were no surprises at checkout and checkout only took a couple of minutes. Additionally, when I went to the truck, I found a plastic protective cover on the driver's seat and a protective paper mat on the floor. Thank you, Long-Lewis, for your consistent superior service and for making it so easy for me to protect my investment! I also appreciated the timely updates to my Ford Pass maintenance records and reward points balance. I love the Ford Pass app.

I discovered a small leak in the trunk of my nearly 14 year old Ford Focus a couple or so weeks ago - called the next day (Friday) to arrange inspection/repair at Long Lewis Ford, which they scheduled for the following Monday morning. Everyone, from the salesman Scott to the courtesy driver William, were incredibly friendly and kind; my car was repaired quickly, and I was on my way home before most folks probably had eaten lunch that day!

I spent 3 months shopping for a new vehicle. I searched all over the country and dealt with many different sales staff in that search. What I found was disappointing, the dishonest fees and double talk that are standard practice at so many dealerships now is disheartening. Fees for nitrogen in tires and Doc fees reaching close to $1000 at some dealerships is shocking. When I spoke with the salesman at Long-Lewis, Eric Washington, it was like a breath of fresh air. The honesty and professionalism were refreshing. They were selling their vehicles at a competitive price without any scams or dishonest double talk. I drove 3 hrs from Chattanooga, TN to purchase my new truck and when the time comes again, I will be back. I am a loyal customer of Long-Lewis in Hoover, AL going forward.

Recently had my 2021 F-150 in for its first recommended service and to have two recalls cleared. Called a week ahead to make an appointment. Drop off was easy. I was expected. Requested service was performed in a professional manner with proper respect for my investment (disposable seat cover placed on driver's seat for protection). Service was completed timely and vehicle was conveniently located for my pick up. Detailed invoice and multi-point inspection report were ready at pick-up. No waiting! No surprises! We had purchased a Lincoln MKX several years ago from Long Lewis Ford and we’re very pleased with it. However, we were looking for a newer vehicle with a little better gas mileage. Tim Graham had helped us earlier so we contacted him and, as before, he proved to be most knowledgeable and helpful. The Lincoln styles and sizes had changed and he helped us wade through all the variations. Once we narrowed down what we wanted, he found the perfect choice for us. 1.14.2021 Hubby found nice GMC Sierra Z71 online. Salesman Les Cunningham reached out to me via text. Met with him on Saturday (hubby had to work). While I test drove, they appraised his vehicle (fairly I might add). I was allowed to drive the truck home for the hubby to look over and drive. Took the truck to Pep Boys for inspection on Sunday. I returned the vehicle on Monday. Long Lewis put the truck on hold for $300. We met on Tuesday evening to close the transaction, which took 45 minutes. It probably would have taken less time if I wasn’t so thorough and I had questions. However, the finance guy was patient. Everyone was courteous. There was NO back and forth. This was a great car buying experience. In the end we got a good deal on a nice truck. Go see Les Cunningham and tell him my review is what brought you there😉

When I was shopping for a Lincoln Navigator I had no clue that Long-Lewis Ford of Hoover had a facility as wonderful as they do. I was immediately greeted by RJ Reynolds. He is not your typical car salesman. He went above and beyond to answer all of our questions, show us features on the vehicle and did NOT high pressure sell us. The entire staff that we dealt with were very professional and made sure we were comfortable. I will definitely highly recommend Long-Lewis Ford of Hoover to anyone looking for a vehicle new or used. We have also been contacted by the salesman, sales manager and a couple of others from the dealership to make sure we were enjoying our new purchase.
