I'm in Austin and was looking for the exact same trim/colors at both Eagle and Sterling two weeks ago. Although I got better quotes then than your getting now (by a few hundred), I ended up buying in Arlington at Vandergriff Acura which had three Sports w/Grey/Taupe at the time. After a couple of back and forths on the phone over two days, settled at $42,700. Price include their standard already installed accessories of bodyside moldings, wheel locks, tinted front rollups, cargo tray, and "theft guard" (VIN etched in windows). Figured that even without the theft guard and at Tim's prices for accessories plus tint (worth minimum $450-500) paid no more than a couple of hundred over invoice. Best deal I could find in Texas at the time. Vehicle tax in TX is 6.2% Did end up paying $50 doc fee and a $100 dealer inventory tax (that I was lead to believe was a required county tax and should have refused), but all in all was happy with the deal. At last check they still had the other two left. Good luck!
bought a new TL

Bought a new 2006 TL 6MT with Nav NBP exterior/Parchment interior at Vandergriff Acura in Arlington TX for 32,800 plus TTL. Included window tinting, wheel locks, and trunk trays. I was planning on waiting to special order a 2007 TL with these exact features when to my dismay I found out that the manual trans. in the base model would be discontinued. I overpaid probably but I really wanted this particular rare combination of colors and features (manual trans. and Navi). I could have gotten this car in late June for 32,600 from Vandergriff Acura. There is an interesting saga to this. Read the next post for my reprinted letter to the General Manager of David McDavid Acura in Plano, TX. It is a cautionary tale.

The best deal I was offered in the DFW area was from Vandergriff Acura in Arlington, TX. $32,400 for a 6 speed Manual with Nav. They were also the nicest to deal with.

Well, I've had a black car the last seven years and am about to lay down a deposit on a Black TL Manual with Nav, with Parchment interior. I live in Dallas, and have survived so far with a black car, and I like the look, so there you go. Washing the car more than usual and using a California duster bestween washes is helpful with a black car. I admit that white would be cooler (tempwise) but I prefer the look of black. I got a good quote from Vandergriff Acura in Arlington, TX for $32,560 (including all fees including tinting and wheel locks) plus TTL. I guess they are going to trade for the car at Mac Churchill Acura in Fort Worth that Mac Churchill didn't want to let go of for less than $33, 643....I go to lay down a $500 deposit tomorrow at Vandergriff.
Re: Getting quote $32,261 for MDX Base Model in Arlington, TX [damhoang]

Cant comment on your Gas Price question, I guess that is a personal decision. 07 Model will sell at a premium basic supply and demand issue. I purchased a MDX/Touring about 2 weeks ago, was going to Vandergriff but went with Mac Churchill. Both offered me $1500 below invoice, got Mac churchill to throw in some accessories and came to roughly $1800 below invoice. So if you are getting $1800 below as of todays date with all incentives and information know today the answer is, YES it is a good deal. Change in any variable tommorow can change the answer. Be carefull of the dealer Add ons $190 for window tinting (only 2 windows) etc, I got mine with no dealer installed options or accessories. You are much better off in the open market as to pricing. :)
Getting quote $32,261 for MDX Base Model in Arlington, TX
by damhoang on Wed Jun 21 07:42:06 PDT 2006
Hello everyone, I am getting quote $32,261 plus any dealer adds that are on the vehicle for MDX base model from Vandergriff Acura in Arlington, TX. This is about $2000 below invoice. Is this a good price given the fact that gas price keeps increasing and 07 MDX model is coming in 4 months? It's better to wait for the 07 model? Any suggestion is appriciated.
