Re: Below Invoice Offer on 2010 TSX Base [mattdadee] by mattdadee on Thu Oct 01 06:38:44 PDT 2009

I have good news to report on my below invoice offer on the 2010 Base. The dealer came through as promised with a $26,769 sale price. We leased instead with Acura Financial, so the numbers change a little bit, but they reflect a better deal than I could even get from a broker: $423.77 OTD cost (advance first month payment of $358.77 and registration at $65) $358.77 per month for 36 months (a $1007.93 estimated tax at 6.75% (Ohio) rolled into the monthly payment) 10,000 miles with $.20 per mile over $18975.60 residual value/purchase option If I wanted, I could have been OTD for purchase at $26,769 + $1,807 (tax) + $65 (registration). It is an amazing deal, and I have no idea how they do it. Frankly, I don't care. The closing was amazingly smooth and took only about 30 minutes. We drove to Acura of Dayton from Columbus (about 100 mi.), walked in the showroom, looked at the car, signed a few papers, and drove away. I know many people in these posts are East Coast or West Coast buyers, but Midwesterners should take advantage. The salesman, Richard Estes, is cool, efficient, and friendly. He could be none of these for the price, but he even bothered to sync our phones with the car in those short 30 minutes. Acura of Dayton has similar deals going for TLs too, but he says delivery may take up to a month for any car, including new TSX purchases. We were lucky to get black w/ebony interior in just a week or so once all of the faxes had been exchanged. Full disclosure: If you're in the Midwest, I would avoid Lindsay Acura (Columbus) at all costs. They're the ones who told us that the car would be dropped at port, be a salvage car, or otherwise. Wrong! I should report them to Acura for dumping on another legitimate dealer. Acura of Marion (salespersonMatthew Ault) and Acura of Columbus (salesperson Ginny Cryder) were helpful, but neither could beat Acura of Dayton's deal. Acura of Dayton's owner appears to be aggressively outpricing the competition. Kudos to him/her and his/her well-run dealership.

Leasing '08 Sport Package by albert1900 on Fri Jan 18 11:48:03 PST 2008

Currently negotiating for a Sport Package. No add ons. No cap reduction. MSRP= $46,510 Cap cost $42,807 + $595 acq fee = $43,402 grs cap cost Residual value @ 53% = $24,650.30 MF= .00214 Govt fees=$65 Taxes (NM) = $1215.35 Doc (dealer) Fee = $225 15K mi/yr Monthly base payment $666.51 + NM tax (5%) @33.33 = $699.84 Due on del= $1005.31. (lst pay $699.84 + sls tax upfnt $15.47 + 1st yr fees? $65.00 + dealer fee listed above $225) I have searched six southwest and mid-west states and this is the best I can do. Sport seems to be scarce and dealers are pricing accordingly. Car in question is to be built next week as part of dealer's allocation and delivered by second week Feb. Other than $225 dealer fee on which they are firm, does this deal look ok?

Re: I am negotiating today in nyc [carstyle] by rujo on Wed May 30 16:17:16 PDT 2007

carstyle - sorry to be a bit late in the day in answering - east coast/west coast time zone differential doesn't help! selling price $26,200 acquisition fee $595 cap cost $26,795 residual $17,256 (36mo/12k mi/yr) money factor .00110 (AHFC Super Preferred credit tier) monthly payment $313.43 plus tax due on delivery: tags, title, dealer doc fees and first month's payment

Re: lease payment question on 07 tsx w/o nav [nickoooch] by rujo on Tue May 01 16:16:39 PDT 2007

$311.48/mo plus tax . . . assumes a selling price of $26,400 (not the very lowest price but easily achievable on the West Coast - search the forum to see what people are paying in your area) with $595 acquisition fee rolled into the lease for a cap cost of $26,995; money factor of .00127 (assumes you qualify for Honda's super preferred credit tier); assumes tags, title, document fees and first month's payment up front. This is for a 36mo/10k mi per yr lease; bumping the mileage to 12k per year brings the payment to $319.10/mo plus tax. Residuals and money factor used for these calculations are based on TSX April lease rates - numbers could possibly change in May.
