So you are basically buying the car for invoice plus $599 + tax. The $599 dealer fee is pure profit. If they are offering you more than you owe on your accord then consider yourself ahead of the game. To get a realistic number as to what your Accord is worth, go to REAL WORLD TRADE IN VALUES thread here on Town Hall. Depending on what they say, you might be able to squeeze a couple hundred more out of the Acura dealer. When I bought our 2010 TSX w/ TECH package, the best deal I was able to get was $1000 off MSRP. I bought my car on the last day of Cash 4 Clunkers (August 2009), the 2010s had only been out for about 2 weeks, and there were no 2009 leftovers that I liked. I've got a pretty keen eye on the market for Hondas & Acuras in my area & know that they pretty much sell for invoice. I couldn't believe I was going to pay only $1000 under sticker for a car that usually sells for invoice. 1 year & 9 months later it doesn't make a difference to me what I paid for the car. It is fantastic & I enjoy it.

My offer of '09 TL + Tech by nly on Sun Aug 30 09:48:20 PDT 2009

Went to a dealer in south Bay Area yesterday and getting close but stuck on $34000+Tax and Fees. I asked for trunk tray and all-season floor mats as throw-ins. Dealer insist they want at least $200 dollars more but I would not add one dime more (they didn't even show me how to break down the fees and just told me in California it's 11% of the car price in total). I compared 2009 TL and 2008 TL and know exactly what Acura is trading off. Boasting of advanced technology, but side mirrors are not dimmed, no ventillated seats, no rain sensing wipers, and I don't think they have light under the hood. It's a good car, but I really don't want to offer more. What do you guys think? Thanks, NLY

2008 MDX tech + PTG south bay by markdesign on Sun Aug 24 15:05:25 PDT 2008

Bought my second acura at Thomas acura in west covina. I highly recommend this dealership. Still one of the few privately owned dealers. You will get a better experience here. Price : $36,000 ins : 750 doc : 55 tax 7.75 : 2,794.26 subtotal : 39,599.26 lic : 340 gov fees : 8.75 total : 39,948.01 7.99% apr 60 months ( due to poor credit ) good credit would have gotten me the 2.9 apr but the price of the car would have gone up to 37,000.

"Rumor has it the new model will have the turbocharged engine and SH-AWD." Do we have any reliable information that this is true? Seems like this would really hurt TL sales unless these features push the price above that of the TL. Kind of defeats the purpose of an "entry level" Acura.

Re: TSX LEASE [ramstein317] by lmacmil on Wed Nov 21 07:24:10 PST 2007

I'd be surprised if Acura would let you out of a lease that early but it can't hurt to ask. At the rate you are driving, you will exceed your mileage limit by a healthy amount. If you drive 24,000 miles a year, you should probably think of buying instead of leasing.
