Was at the Chicago Auto Show and started thinking about the RDX. The Auto Show website has RDX offers for base at $30,600. Awesome deal! However, I am moving to CO from Chicago and I don't want to pay taxes twice, so I will wait to purchase when I move in June. Here is a link to their RDX (Arlington Acura in Palatine, IL) priced just over $30K. Since Acura isn't hitting targets on the RDX, they are offering deals, which I believe is a first for Acura. Incentives weren't in the Acura dialogue a year or two ago.

The best quote I have from Arlington (if you're speaking of Rohrman) is $500 over invoice. I bought my TL from them and would have liked to buy my MDX from them, but I have multiple other dealers quoting me invoice or below ($1,000 in my pocket is better in mine than Rohrman's). After advising the sales manager that they are not competitive with others in the area, he told me he wasn't interested in selling a car at invoice and not making any money (ha, ha, yeah right, he must thinking I am really naive to think that they won't make any money). Oh well, I have 3 other dealers who are ready for my business and hopefully tomorrow I can close something with one of them. In the end, I will be below invoice, and I am happy with anything below invoice. I will post who I decide to purchase from once the deal is concluded.

In Chicagoland area, do not forget quotes from the Arlington Acura group in Palatine IL, where we bought our MDX last yr at invoice (purchased in June 07). That was when all the other Chicago dealers were quoting much higher prices. Nonetheless, You need to be specific and ask for invoice or below or they will NOT budge.

I'm in chicago too. I posted previously that I picked up an MDX tech for $40,004 (just 3 weeks ago from Palatine IL ); this included destination charge. I also bought many extras, total out the door was more like 46.5 or so (I purchased many accessories and extended warranty up to 120 k, 7 yrs, etc). You should not pay more than invoice for any 07 MDX. I think mine was 100 or so below invoice.

I don't know how far you are from Arlington Acura in Palatine, IL. Acura 2008 will be coming out in late August. You should be able to get your 2007 at invoice. Acura also has special financing available. The only bad thing about Arlington Acura was their over inflated accessory prices. Buy from www.hondaacuraworld.com and have the dealers install them for you. Good Luck.

My suggestion is to go on the Acura WEB site and either check the accessories prices or order them to your zip code. I found out that the Acura Web prices for the accessories are almost always lower than what the dealer, for example, at Palatine IL quoted me. Example, Mirror + installation should be around $300 (if I recall correctly) vs the $430 you were quoted. Do the same for all others on your list. This way, at least, you are not paying over-inflated prices on top of the MSRP. The web page will also give you a guage of how fair you are being treated.
