2004 Volvo XC90 SUV T6 AWD 4dr SUV (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 4A)

Review

So far I'm really enjoying the T6. Very
tight and handles well. My only beef is
that the fuel tank is to small (19 Gal)
@ 15 MPG it seems that I'm at the
station every few days. Also the
braking could be better, bigger discs??
Not a big fan on the sound system as
well.

Best Features

Favorite features are the styling, navigation, and overall size and comfort. Volvo did a good job overall.

Worst Features

Compared to my BMW X5 - The Volvo needs better braking and a larger fuel tank - 23 gallons or better fuel economy. If this vehicle has 268 HP where is it??

2004 Volvo XC90 SUV 2.5T AWD 4dr SUV (2.5L 5cyl Turbo 5A)

Review

I am a first time Volvo owner and have
absolutely no regrets. The ride is as
smooth as glass and it is an amazingly
comfortable ride. Friends have told
me the seats are more comfortable than
their living room couch. I have the
third row seat and that's quite
comfortable as well although with the
seats up you don't have much trunk
space left but no worries because
Volvo has every accesory so strap your
luggage to your luggage rack. I've
been in lots of luxury SUVs and this
is the best ride.
I live in the city and don't get more
than 11-12 city miles to the gallon.
That's my only complaint. The engine
is small but pretty powerful.

Best Features

The smooth quiet ride and the comfort.

Worst Features

Make sure you spring for the mud flaps and the cargo mat.

Review

driving our grandchildren in our XC90
puts our mind at ease knowing that their
being transported in a safe vehicle. I
read that the XC90 is "safer than
sitting on grandma's lap, and whoever
said that speaks the truth.
we love our XC90

Review

Loaded T6
Accel poor unless you slam it to the
floor. Slow to downshift
Suspension mediocre. This car never
feels even a hint of sporty in corners.
Seats: Can't get comfortable
Lights: "auto" on feature so when it
get's dark they turn on, but the high
beams won't function in that mode.
Rain sensing wipers:
Adjust the intermittent control and
the rain sensor takes over anyway.
"Approach lights":
You have to push a separate button on
the keyfob from unlock
N/V/H... This car makes nasty noises
sometimes and never seems smooth.
Squeeks and rattles already forming at
10K miles.
Build Quality: Doors need to be
slammed, compartments stick.

Best Features

Radio sounds good Styling

Worst Features

HAH! Look above! Hire a BMW or Mercedes castoff to fix the suspension. Get a REAL transmission in this thing to take advantage of a fairly powerful motor. Fit and finish work. Many of the "fancy" features are executed poorly.
