Such a classic!
By Canyonlands on

1990 Volvo 240 DL 4dr Wagon

We bought our second Volvo wagon with
160K miles on it from its original
owner. It's currently at 238K miles and
shows no signs of quitting. Very
impressive given that we've not changed
the oil but every 10K miles!! Aside
from wear items all we've had fail was
a fuel relay that was $14 from FP
Groton. I sure wish they continued
making these. By the time ours quits
finding a low mileage replacement will
be hard.

Best Features

The engine. Sure, it only has 114hp but it does a great job in such a heavy car. The timeless body style. Such a classic form! Comfy seats that are heated. Rear drive with plenty of room in the engine area to fiddle around. Goes great in the snow with Blizzaks.

Worst Features

Bring them back! The V40 is an insult. They made VW Beetles for many years. The 240s should have been held over until Ford bought the company, 1999.
