I made my first Volvo purchase of an XC60 on April 21st and my buying experience was great. I worked with a Volvo dealership near where I live and I really appreciated the transparency of the purchase process. Within 24 hours of taking delivery of my new car, the check engine light came on and my car has spent most of the days I have owned it back with the dealership. They have been … great in terms of giving us a loaner, but at this point, we are 25 days into ownership, and our car has been in the shop for 14 of them, with the only day we didn't have issues being the evening we drove it off the lot. Our Volvo Dealership has been a good advocate, but there doesn't seem to be an end in sight other than maybe we hit 30 days out-of-service, or one more unsuccessful repair attempt and it could be declared a lemon. But there is also a concerning issue with the car not engaging in park consistently when the parking button is pressed. The most troubling thing is that the Factory Trained Specialist cannot seem to resolve the root issue. I will follow up this review with the outcome, so customers know how Volvo deals with a vehicle that has seemingly unresolvable issues right off the lot. Still optimistic that they will make it right sooner than later.
