Why can't I call this a GOLF?

2008 Volkswagen Rabbit S 4dr Hatchback (2.5L 5cyl 6A)


This is my sixth VW, so, since I have survived VW's reliability problems, I must like them. This car is a good value for money, with features that competitors can only dream of. In Canada, heated seats are an essential; why don't more manufacturers make this available (and how about heated steering wheels?)

Best Features

The best features are the quality of everything and the handling. Heated seats are a big plus. I also enjoy the lack of exterior chrome trim, which I think is ugly.

Worst Features

The 5-cyl. engine is noisy (compared to my previous 1.8T), perhaps because of the lack of a hood liner. And the fuel consumption is poor. Perhaps VW could find a way to reduce the vehicle weight. And I think VW could reduce the price if they stopped including a tach on models with automatic trans
