2003 Volkswagen New Beetle GLS 2dr Convertible (2.0L 4cyl 6A)

The convertible top is the reason to
buy but it is not easy to use.
The handle to pull and latch the top is
hard for a woman to use.
Likewise when the top is down the cover
boot for the top is required to be in
place and it too is difficult to latch.
The cover boot was replaced for a
better fit but still suffers from
difficulty to push the latches into the
locking slots.
Dealer suggestion to place the boot
cover on while heated up is a joke!

Best Features

Car looks good with top down and shows its cute style. Interior is functional and quiet for a rag top. Rag top power feature works well. Car sticks to the road with the wide tires.

Worst Features

Make the top easier to latch. Change the fastening on the cover boot to velcrow or some easier method. The power top is a great feature but you still have to get out to place the cover in place, a built in cover would be nice or dispense with the need to cover the top.
