2004 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan GLS 1.8T 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl Turbo 5A)
MY CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A
HEADACHE!!! CAR HAS HAD NUMEROUS
PROBLEMS AND VOLKSWAGON'S CUSTOMER
SERVICE SUCKS, THEY ARE WILLING TO
NOTHING, I PUT OVER $1500 IN PARTS
INTO IT IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS SO IT
WOULD STOP STALLING...NICE, HUH?
EVERYTHING, THE INTERIOR IS JANKY, THE
ELECTRICAL IS HORRIBLE, MY TURBO
CONSTANTLY FAD, I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS
2004 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan GLI VR6 4dr Sedan (2.8L 6cyl 6M)
I call it my "Pocket Rocket" because
it's the smallest car I have ever
owned and one of the fastest. It's fun
to drive, comfortable, well built, and
not too hard on the eyes. The chrome
moldings and the alloy wheels really
dress it up. It corners like a dream
with almost no roll and the 6 speed is
the easiest manual tranny I have ever
used. Like the commercial
says, "Drive it you'll get it."
2004 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan GLI 1.8T 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl Turbo 6M)
I traded a '97 BMW 540i 6-speed for this
car and am very impressed. The BMW was
fantastic, no question, but heavier and
less tossable. Was looking for a
smaller, more nimble car. Looked at the
BMW 330i, Audi A4, Acura TL. 330i was
$40K, the Audi $39K and the Acura a
bargain at $33K.
So...not enough bang for the buck with
the BMW and Audi. Horrible torque steer
with the Acura.
For $24K I have a vehicle with great
perfomance, ergonomics, space and visual
appeal. Time will tell regarding
reliablity and build quality.
For VW enthusiasts, this Jetta is a 337
GTI. You will love it. Also, if
interested, a new chip will make this a
225 hp, 250 lb/ft rocket.
Performance - Suspension (20% stiffer
than a GLI VR6), great engine (torque
peak begins at 1950 rpm vs 3200 rpm for
the VR6), great Recaro seats, great
6-speed gearbox and brakes lifted from
the Audi TT, BBS RC wheels, very limited
production model = unique.
Automatic climate controls, auto dimming
rear view mirror, equalizer for the
stereo, arm rest.

I've had the car for about a month, im
at 1200 miles. So far no technical
problems. Car looks great inside and
out, many standard features. Love
driving it,handles great. Its my first
stick shift and car as well, i
actually had to learn how to drive
manual before buying the car.If you
get bored with it, there are many
modifications that u can get on this
car, check ebay. Overall good car, i
would definitely buy VW again.
Monsoon system, red and blue lights,
the key, leather seats, cruise control
a little more leg room in the back,
and a much stronger base engine, maybe
a 135 hp..
2004 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan GL 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M)
This car is fun. I have owned approx.
12 cars and this one rates in the top
5. The only thing I dont like is that
the low end power is non existant.
But it cruses great. The only other
thing is that this car could be a two
seater, no room in the rear.
