2003 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T 2dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

The car is easy to drive: it cruises to
the grocery store with Clark Kent
modesty but will also roar through the
gears, shaming other vehicles with
astounding low-end power, smooth high
rpm shifting, and assertive turbo
boost. Also brilliant in the rain,
with excellent wipers all around and
top notch defogger and heated mirrors,
and it is blissful in the sun with the
roof open. The seats are superb, and
the cabin exudes quality and
forethought. The GTI is a true
automobile in world too cluttered with
mere cars.

Best Features

There's so much to say: power, handling, comfort, cargo space and interior design, passenger room. Brilliant powertrain and awesome brakes.

Worst Features

The floormats are garbage and an insult when combined with the $1200 luxury package and $800 leather package--it's like, "ok, that'll be another $100.00 for floor mats, Mr Customer, even though you just bought a $2000 optional interior package. Pathetic.
