New 2024 Atlas. Cross Sport, 2 replaced driving lights, Navigation system has stopped working twice, drivers side door allowed water intrusion during rain. In total 8 warranty repairs with still no functional daytime driving lights or working navigation system. The car has less than 1500 miles and is by far the worst car I have ever owned. Avoid the 2024 Atlas Cross Sport at all costs.

My wife and I made the decision to pair down to 1 vehicle to save money and be more aware of how much needless driving we do. We looked at a number of SUV's that would align to our lifestyle. We landed on the VW Atlas Cross Sport. I will start with it is a beautiful and very solid vehicle. Infotainment is no more confusing than anyone else's and it takes time to learn but not too bad. Interior is lovely and not leather which I love. I don't need or want leather so the V-Tex is awesome. That's about where it stops. we have just about 400 miles on it and the following things have gone south. Passenger side rear window refuses to close. Takes several tries to get it up and stay up. there was an exhaust shield rattle that was found to be incorrectly installed and was loose. Car would not start. Pressed the start button 15 or so times before it started. Car would not restart after I stopped at a light and the auto shut off engaged. There is now a rattle in the passenger's rear door. All of this in 400 miles. I have owned literally 25 cars in my 33 years of driving and the only other one to give me trouble like this was my 1997 VW Golf. I have owned 7 Subaru's since 2012 and every one of them was well built, reliable and never gave me an ounce of trouble. To think I gave that up for this. I would say it's safe to assume that the VW will be leaving my life before it see's 1000 miles and I am confident it will be the last time I buy this brand. Such a shame.

Buyer beware new Cross Sport repairs

Disappointed VW customer, 09/09/2023

Bought a New 2024 VW Cross Sport 8/22/2023. It had an error code the first day driving home from the dealership. Daytime running lights and misaligned drivers door. 16 of 19 days out of service and no resolution yet. The dealerships cannot re-adjust the door and VW warranty wants me to take the car to a body shop to have the repairs done. The car has 364 total miles. Also the body shops suggested by VW are all over 400 miles away round trip with no compensation or loaner car while the body shops attempt to fix a new car. Best advice don't set yourself up for extreme disappointment. First and last VW!

I took it back to the dear ship twice could not fix it they are waiting for VW to tell them what to do. Do not buy the car

My wife and I bought a new 2024 Atlas Cross sport with 11 miles on it when we left the dealership. Two days later her Information screen when blurry and had lines running through it like a 1980's TV trying to get reception. We were told by the dealership there is not a fix for that yet and they are hoping to fix it with a software update in the future with no time line on when that might be, but you can do a hard reset on the screen and that should fix it for now and when it does it again, just do another hard reset. After owning the Atlas for a week and having less the 1,000 miles on it we get an engine warning light that comes on. We immediately call the dealership and let them know and they tell us that we need to bring it in and have it looked at. After it being in the dealerships shop for a week, they replace and injector and tell us we are good to go. We drive it again for less than another week and we get the same engine warning light that comes on. We call the dealership again and they tell us to bring it back to them. This time the car has been there for 5 days and they have been going back and forth with VW manufacture trying to figure out what the issue could be. Finally on day 5 we receive a text message from the service department telling us they found metal shavings in the oil pan and they have ordered us a new engine, new turbo and all the oil lines. They tell us they will replace it all and that the engine and turbo are at least 4 weeks out! The dealership we bought the car from has been wonderful as far as helping us and giving us a rental vehicle now both times our car has been in the shop, HOWEVER this thing has been a HUNK of Junk and for $47,000 it is not worth the money. No one should have these types of issues from a vehicle bought in this day and age.
