I went to VW of Union to buy a 2023 GTI. The MSRP is $35,000 and my trade-in value was $7,600 - $9,400 (per Edmunds link provided on the VW website). The offer they gave me was to pay $36,000, including my trade-in! They essentially wanted me to pay $1,000 over MSRP AND give them my trade-in for free! I don’t know if they treated me like this because I am a woman, or if they treat all their customers with contempt. I refused to do business with them and asked for my car keys back at least five times but they kept ignoring my request, keeping me trapped in the office. I finally had to loudly demand my car keys back so that I could get out of there. I have never seen such audacity and contempt from a car dealer. I will take my money elsewhere.

Gunther VW- Volvo Daytona Beach is dishonest, deceptive, and fraudulent. Takes advantage of Latinos. I was extremely misled about the terms of my lease. The car was marked up 10k over MSRP from $64,161 to $74,315 I was charged $6,087 on Ding Protection Xzilon Green which I didn't want. I wasn't asked for nor did I agree to it. The car salesman, Garret Gaffka, assured me $16,950 in rebates. They only "applied” $8,000 on paper because it was never calculated in the payment. I traded a car for $19,000 and again this was not calculated on the payment. Due to my son's condition, I returned this car 3 days later and the manager again took advantage of me trading the car for $48,588 when I was charged $74,315 within 36 hours. When I found out about the fraud, I went to the finance department asking for clarification and they told me that there was nothing they could do. The manager, Albert Feyto, said because I signed, I'm obligated to. I feel embarrassed about the deal I took from Gunther, but I’m interested in the idea of organizing a class-action lawsuit against [non-permissible content removed]. Would love to band together to bring justice to the victimized customers and stop their unethical operation. Anyway, if you are Latino thinking that all Americans are honest to deal with… run away from this place because they know how to take advantage of us since we don’t know this system, and trust in the wrong people. I should clarify that he promised to personally take car of any unforeseen issues, and he knew I was choosing between his Lexus and a similar one at a nearby Lexus dealer. He sure fooled me. He then ignored my calls and emails for over a month, and even went as far as to hide from me when I came in to speak with him in person. I wanted him to look me in the eye and tell me he wasn’t going to keep his word. My experience at Capitol VW was flawless. First I would like to point out I live about 2.5 hours away from the dealership. I was looking for a very specific car, and found a few from various sites that caught my interest. However, from my initial reach-out, I felt comfortable with the team at Capitol VW, and I knew I wanted to do business with them. They allowed me to do a Zoom meeting to see the car, and even offered to ship it to me at no additional charge. However, it was important to me to see the car in person and test drive. I never felt any pressure to buy, and they allowed me to set up an appointment that worked around my busy schedule. Then, test drive day finally came, and we felt very welcomed first walking into the dealership. My boyfriend and I were both allowed to test drive, which he appreciated. They also ensured I got the best financing and warranty. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. They are amazing!!!
