Buyers beware that this dealership appears to live up to the 'used car salesman' stereotype!! While I had found a perfect used XC60 to buy all cash, I was trying to get all the proper paperwork and answers to my questions since I live out of the country and could not see/drive the car prior to purchase. However, I sent a relative to meet the salesperson and drive the car and while they were dragging in sending me the certification form and answer my questions on how to purchase, they sold the car to someone else. While I understand business is business, I had expressed my intent to buy but apparently it was easier to sell to another person without even giving me the courtesy or heads up they had someone else interested. Really poor business practice!!

We arrived around a quarter past seven and were greeted by Marcos as soon as we entered. He was our salesperson for the evening. After introducing himself, he asked what we came in for. I explained we came to see a used 2017 VW Jetta. After clarification on which one in particular, he took us to his desk and we sat down so he could photocopy my driver's license. Shortly after that he came back and had the car prepared for a test drive. We went on the drive and everything went smoothly. He encouraged me to open up the car a bit more once we were on a road more suitable to that kind of driving. All standard car-showing stuff. Afterward we sat down to discuss the price and any additional fees. Most of the standard fee stuff was there. We negotiated on one of the fees and on the price itself. Marcos discussed it with his manager, came back and it was close to what I was looking for. After some hemming and hawing I went ahead with the agreed upon price and we had the financing to get done. The initial rate was too high for my blood but they were able to knock it down a few points to something more reasonable. The finance manager Rayan was very straight-forward and did his best to get me a good rate and to explain everything. It was very step-by-step. After signing all the required documents I received the keys and a copy of all the paperwork. We left a bit after closing but they were patient and closed out the sale. Marcos and Rayan did very well for us and I am satisfied with their efforts. Thanks Elgin VW!

My wife and I have been here four times in the past, and still haven't test driven any of the cars we went to see; the most recent was Saturday around 9:30 - 10:00 am went to see a Mercedes; I saw an older gentleman point and send out a young man who came out and his first words "I don't know if anyone told you guys or not but we're by appointment only" We said we didn't know, he looked at the car? And said are you looking at this car; My wife answered, "Yes," and he asked, and do you want to test drive it? My Wife answered "Yes" Well, our next appointment is at 2:45 pm, and he gave us his card. I wanted to get the car for my wife, but he never asked where we were from, how far we drove, or anything. She had no interest after being treated that way repeatedly at this Car Dealer, I told her sometimes we know we have to swallow our pride and overlook the way we have been treated if she wanted the car, but she said she just preferred not to give them our money to pay them to treat us like that. And how were we to know it's by appointment only? I didn't see that information on Edmunds when I saw the advertisement, but we saw the ad earlier in the week and didn't have a chance until Saturday to go view the car.
