I have an extremely hard time comfortably fitting into cars. Nothing fits like a pickup truck (but who wants 17 mpg either?) I’m 6’3 with a very long torso so I can’t have anything with a sunroof. Plus I have kids so I need back seat space for car seats. I wanted the smallest car I could find that would fit the whole family, and this does it handsomely. I make a 300 mile commute once … per week and previously had a 65 mile commute daily. This car kills it. With the diesel gate warranty to 162k miles, it was a no brainer. I wish I could have found a manual, but don’t we all. The DSG works just fine for my needs.
Note- this will not win any races but the torque will put a smile on your face every time.
I have a large roof box up top with all terrain tires and still manage to squeeze out 45 mpg. I do wish I could tow more with this thing, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. I can’t have it all.
2nd Note- I do get complaints from passengers with wider hips that the bolstered seats are a bit uncomfortable.
I’m at 140k miles with no failures, and no extra trips to the shop. Use good oil, stay up with the maintenance, and you should have a trouble free ride.
