2024 Toyota Grand Highlander
I read all the previous reviews and can only say "thank goodness" I haven't had any of the problems they have had. We got our car at the end of November 2024 shortly after Toyota resumed production of the Grand Highlander. As of this writing we have 5K miles on it. It's been on two trips of 1800 miles each and the car drove and rode very nicely. The best mileage we got was 26.8mpg … and that was running at 80mph in Texas. The only issue we have with it is it may be a little too large for us. We thought the car would be okay without running boards, but found getting in and out was a little challenging, so we added the running boards and that has helped. The car was bought as mainly a highway car and for that it is very nice. We have a Matrix we use for around town driving which is a perfect size for that. There is one quirk with the transmission. Every once in a while I look at the dashboard and it says I'm in Sport mode, but I have not pushed the Sport mode button in the center console. It's happened maybe half a dozen times since we got the car. Hopefully, it not a sign of a future problem. Other than that everything on the car has worked as it should. So, overall we are pleased with it.
