2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid
Comfortable and secure front bucket seats. Generally quiet interior. Best gpm of all 8 passenger SUVs, power when you really need acceleration. Adequate access to third row seating with 2nd row bench.
Cruise control on steering wheel will take some getting used to. The auto driving features are perilous, will accelerate you into a stationery brick wall or stopped vehicle. Visual dash … indicators not bright enough to see quickly and clearly. And what’s the purpose of dash icon of sign recognition?? I think I saw that stop sign, and that traffic light! Audible anlerts are not loud enough to warn.
Lacks some feature of my 2008 Limited you’d think would have become std, like ground approach lighting.
Also preferred the 2008 design of the bench seat where the middle seat was a removal insert to provide walk through access to the 3rd row; so you had either captain's or bench seat; one in the same.
Biggest disappointment is redesign of cargo rails that allow for crossbars location only in 1 positions, not variable on full length.
And who really wants a moon roof? While the glass will likely show no degradation versus paint, you loose 2" head room. Toyota SE's decision to order it on most all XLE's. Finding any model with no moon roof and with bench seat it pretty much impossible. I seached the east coast and found none on the lot or being offered by SE Toyota.
And black interior and mats?! Shows any and all dirt. Again SE Toyota ordered combo. Gray interior very limited availability.
