Dealer Review:

I drove a long way to look at a used car at this dealership. Kelly Blue Book and Carfax said it was a "Great Deal" for the listed price. That's what I was working hard to find - a great deal. However, while negotiating the price, I was told by an employee - I think it was a Sales Manager -that Toyota insisted that a tracking device be installed on all their cars or all their used cars. (I'm not sure which.) He said the device would enable Toyota to help me locate the car in the event it was stolen. A salesman also said something about me getting paid for any damage that occurred resulting from theft of the car. The cost for this was $995 on top of the listed sales price. I asked if I could opt of of this device and service. The sales manager said I couldn't. I could have, and probably should have walked out, but I went ahead and bought the car anyway, and my research tells me I got a good deal, but not the great deal I was looking for. In my opinion, the cost of this device, that was already installed on the car, and that I couldn't opt out of, should have been included in the advertised price of the car. On the proof of puchase it is simply listed as accessories. Incidentally, I didn't receive any literature regarding this device with the car. I guess I'll try calling Toyota to get the details.

I had been researching cars for a few months before deciding test drive them. I was deciding between 3-4 different makes and models. Tansky Toyota was the second dealership I had visited in search of my new car. Immediately walking into the building I was greeted and could already tell that I was going to have a great car shopping experience here. I test drove the RAV 4 and loved it. Before leaving for the test drive, the car salesman had went over every feature in the car. I was appreciative since my older car doesn’t have many of the features this new car has. They didn’t have A RAV 4 with features that I wanted in stock due to COVID. Bryan Barrett, one of the sales managers had said that there was one in freight that would hopefully be arriving soon with the features that I was looking for. I loved the car, but wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t have buyers remorse, so I needed to drive the other model that I was considering. I wasn’t pressured into purchasing the car like most dealerships do. I took his business card and test drove the other car the next day. That night, I contacted Bryan and told him I wanted to purchase the RAV 4 that was coming in. He mentioned that the car should get in on Friday, it was Thursday when I reached out. He said he could have the car detailed and ready to go the next day. I was ecstatic. I worked with Bryan to sign and fill out the paperwork on Friday. Bryan made it a very smooth and easy process. He was exceptional to work with and Tansky is lucky to have him. I definitely recommend Tansky to everyone and will be a customer for life. They have great vehicles and even better people.
