I was in the market for a new Toyota and looked into price and car availability at a few Bay Area Toyota dealers. Toyota of Oakland had the car I wanted but unfortunately ended up dealing with Shiloh Lewis and his sales manager Omar Aslami. I think these two guys wrote the book on shading tactics in the old dealer handbook. During my customer experience they: retract quoted pricing, misrepresented inventory, resorted to high pressure sales tactics and lots of wasted time filled with endless excuses and game playing. In the age of online car shopping and transparent consumer reviews there are lots of dealerships willing to give you an honest and straight forward shopping experience and unfortunately Downtown Oakland is not one them.
