Dealer Review:

I bought a 2013 Juke Nismo a few weeks ago from Gunther without an extended warranty. I am having a lot of issues. It started shaking and experiencing a delayed shift on my way home from the dealership.... I thought it was the transmission. It has done so ever since. My brother spoke with the sales manager, Tony, who advised us to bring the car back for them to look at it. I paid $300.00 to have the car transported back to Team Gunther because I was afraid I’d be stranded on the side of the road alone between the town I live in and Daphne if I drove it. I live an hour and a half away. Casandra drove the car while it was there (about a week) and I was told by Trevor that the only thing wrong with it was that the tires didn’t stick to the road upon acceleration because it is a small SUV. (Many people that I spoke with about that thought it to be laughable). I didn’t find it funny at all and told Trevor he was a liar. It was 100% impossible to drive the car and not know there was a major issue. Since then, I had the engine mount replaced because it was broken, but it didn’t help with the shaking. My next repair will be an axle. I hope that helps with the shaking. Also, my battery and brake lights come on after a few minutes of driving it (indicating issues with the transmission according to google) and it dies on me. In addition to that, after adding premium gas (which is recommended), it started skipping and the service engine soon light came on. After posting this to the Gunther's website I received a reply from Team Gunther saying that the Service Department had left me a voice message and was awaiting my reply. So, I called them and they said if I brought the car up there, they would look at it, again. So, I replied to Team Gunther with this, "So, my question is, if I pay another 300.00 to get it back up there will my experience be any different? And are you going to take responsibility for the issues since they began on day one (or before day one)? I would like a detailed response please." I never received that response. THEY SOLD ME A LEMON AND WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS INCOMPETENT OR DISHONEST ALONG WITH THE SALES DEPARTMENT.

I don't normally post comments, but I had such a positive experience with Chrysler Dodge Ram of Crestview that I feel I need to mention them. I am from South Florida and had been searching for the last 4 months for a specific Dodge Ram Limited. Upon finding the truck at their dealer, via the internet, I requested the information and its availability. Wyatt, the New Cars Sales Director, immediately responded to my request and provided not only the information but also had one of his team members Mike, assist me in previewing the truck via facetime...while it was raining mind you. After confirming it was the vehicle I was looking, Wyatt conducted all the negotiations with me and got me approved providing me with the numbers breakdown. After verbally agreeing to the numbers, I advised him I was going to fly in on following Saturday to sign the documents and drive my truck back down to South Florida (700 + miles). Wyatt stayed in constant communication with me over the next couple of days and even offered to pick me up from the airport in Pensacola (45mins away from his dealership). Wyatt assured me that everything would be ready to go upon my arrival . To my delight, not only was the truck parked up front , detailed, wheels shined, it even had a FULL tank of gas ( very rare nowadays). He had Mike go over the truck with me and then straight to their finance manager who had everything all ready for me to sign. No exaggeration, I was in and out of there in less that 40 mins . I commended Wyatt, Mike, the Finance Manger and the rest of their staff who were all involved in making this a seamless transaction from start to finish. Lastly and probably one of the most important aspects was that there were no games with pricing or added dealer fees that I got the run around with many other places I went to. In short , a big THANKS to Wyatt and all the staff at Chrysler Dodge Ram Crestview.

Sold a 2014 escape se red with recalls still to be done that pose a safety risk. Not only were they a safety risk but cannot get the recalls done unless you have a second car. Lack of leadership within step one automotive group and lack of customer oriented business. It was also known the electric steering rack had a tsb out on the vehicle as well. Spend your money elsewhere at a dealership on a TOYOTA where they last for 500k miles till the wheels fall off. Why would you even put a vehicle on the lot knowing you have the power to have the vehicle recalls done at no cost? Money hungry step one automotive group.

My sales agent, Mr Ball was exceptionally well versed on the auto I chose. He asked great questions to learn what my desires were in purchasing a used vehicle, and made sure my desires and needs were met. Bernard Ball is truly an asset to your organization. On the other hand, your F&I manager, once learning that I was going to finance through my own source remained aloof and disinterested in finalizing my purchase. At the end of signing the paperwork, I had to ask if we were finished. He just answered yes without even a verbal “thank you” for your business. I realize he wasn’t going to make personal money on the sale, but since he didn’t even offer to try and beat my rate, he certainly didn’t deserve my business. He wasn’t much of a “team player” for your organization.
