Great all purpose car that is a blast to drive

2015 Subaru WRX
First I am a long term subaru owner. I have had a Forester, Outback, and 2 Legacy's in our family. First the items that i dont like which are few. The car will ride a bit rough. You can rectify this by switching out the tires. I have put Continental DWS's on and wow, it really is smooth. The car is a bit noisy. its a performance sedan. It's not going to ride like a 50, 000 dollar luxury … sedan. On a road trip its perfectly fine. The stock radio/speakers are not so hot. its an very easy fix. buy a good aftermarket radio and speakers. The car is a blast to drive. i have the CVT. you can drive this car as an everyday commuter and get over 30 miles on the highway and average overall 27 miles to the gallon. if you shift in the sport modes this thing will knock you back in the seat with its power. you will not find anything on the market that will deliver all this for the price. The handling is superb. If you take this car on a road trip you can cruse at 75-85mph and not realize how fast you are going. This car delivers the goods. I now currently have 87,500 miles on the car. i just replaced my tires and bought another set of continental DWS again. Its a great car and fun to drive. I plan on keeping this car at least through this current set of tires. if I trade the car I would probably look at the new Subaru legacy turbo. i have not added any aftermarket parts to the car. i think Turbos are great for adding power when you need it. Running any 4 cylinder engine up over 5 or 6000 RPMs for extended periods of time is not a prescription for long engine life. Running this boxer engine at 2500-3000 RPMs on an extended trip is fine. The engine can handle that just fine. So in miles per hour this equates to somewhere in the 80 to 85 mph. If you want to take this car to the track and run the heck out of it, the car will perform but good luck with long term engine life. Its fairly hard anyway to run over 80mph on US highways. So have fun with the car and the turbo. If you want to take it to the track an run the heck out of it, you might want to consider the STI. Its probably better suited for that. The car in my book is 5 star car. It is my daily driver but when i am on the highway i run the car in the sport mode. It gives me ample power to pass and still at 70mph i get about 33MPG on the highway. Any faster and your gas mileage will go down.
