After doing some online looking, AV Chevy contacted me via email and said they were interested in selling me a Chevy Bolt. I initially blew them off because they didn’t have any in stock and I didn’t figure they could help me. Then Richard Hertzberg called me from AV Chevy and said they could place a custom order for me and it’s no big deal because they do it all the time. He wasn’t pushy and was very accommodating when I told him I was coming from 80 miles away. He made me an appointment on that same day. When I arrived he told me he was still working with his previous customers whose appointment started 3 hours before mine. He quickly offered to have another salesperson help me, but I was impressed with Richard so I declined. 15 minutes later he’d wrapped up his other appointment and sat down with me to order my car. He was very knowledgeable and explained the features of the car and answered all of my questions about the process. He made sure I had his cell number and told me I could text him anytime. He also told me it’d be 6-8 weeks before I could take delivery. The whole process was quick and only took about half an hour. I didn’t have to put down a retainer fee and no money was exchanged. Then the wait started. Richard kept in frequent contact texting me every week or so. He’d give me updates on the car’s production and shipping status. Thanks to Richard, I know the exact day my car went into production  At one point he called me and offered me all the dealer extras (door paint protectant, upgraded alarm system, extended warranties, etc.). He explained everything very well and answered all of my questions. At the end of his explanations, I decided to decline all extras and Richard was perfectly fine with that. He didn’t push or try to convince me to do something I didn’t want to do. The communications continued as the car was shipping across the country and then the negotiations started. As I said before, I live 80 miles away so going to the dealership just to haggle over price was not something I was interested in doing. Thankfully, we were able to negotiate all pricing via text message in an environment that was pressure free and on my own schedule. I received a detailed breakdown of all charges and fees so there were no surprised the day I picked up the car. I was able to walk in knowing exactly what the car would cost me. The car was exactly what I had expected it to be. It was perfect! I agreed to purchase the vehicle and it was time for money to exchange hands. Richard was very helpful and the finance guy was very efficient and explained all the paperwork so I knew what I was signing. The purchasing process took about an hour. I was impressed with the efficiency of the dealership and their employees. I found out later that Richard came in on his day off work so that I could get the car before my other engagements.     I was looking to purchase a Chevy Bolt, but apparently those vehicles are hard to come by. After doing some online looking, AV Chevy contacted me via email and said they were interested in selling me a Chevy Bolt. I initially blew them off because they didn’t have any in stock and I didn’t figure they could help me. Then Richard Hertzberg called me from AV Chevy and said they could place a custom order for me and it’s no big deal because they do it all the time. He wasn’t pushy and was very accommodating when I told him I was coming from 80 miles away. He made me an appointment on that same day. When I arrived he told me he was still working with his previous customers whose appointment started 3 hours before mine. He quickly offered to have another salesperson help me, but I was impressed with Richard so I declined. 15 minutes later he’d wrapped up his other appointment and sat down with me to order my car. He was very knowledgeable and explained the features of the car and answered all of my questions about the process. He made sure I had his cell number and told me I could text him anytime.
