2008 Pontiac G5
purchased 2008 pontiac g5 in 2013 w/42k miles. 1 owner car. 9 yrs later at 9800 mi, manual tranny, 2 dr, black w/spoiler. 14 yr old car has normal wear and tear, 2 sets of tires, regular maintenance, love it to pieces. was trained on a 3 in the tree so been driving manuals since i was 16. i'm 70 now and never even owned an automatic and still driving! added side driver mirrors for better … visual which was great! little 4 cyl 2.2 is fast enough for me. gas saver because i never let it get below a half. handles great in snow which i love driving in. my degree is in automotive tech so ino how to take car of my cars. seats are comfortable. wish my clutch was a bit "softer" now that i'm older but hey, i can still handle it. clutch is like having 2 brakes. i pump brakes and shift slowly from overdrive to 1st b4 coming to a stop. sometimes i skip 4th and go straight to 5th if i'm over 50mph. i set my own rpms by watching my tach or listening to the engine on when to change gears. i had a great teacher in drivers ed and taught my son at the age of 9, to drive a stick. i also have taught several sisters, friends and husbands to drive a stick. there is NOTHING compared to a manual transmission car. less repairs. less trouble. less everything! it's cheaper to keep her! my son will inherit it when i die or can't drive anymore but it will stay in the family as long as i'm alive! i believe all females should know how to drive a manual. i even got my motorcycle endorsement! i could go on and on just to use up all my character limit but i think i got the msg across pretty good. i have owned a 73 Cuda, 66 Malibu, 68 Mercury Comet, 74 Ford Contour and 78 Dodge Challenger and eer one of them were manuals. had i known then what i know now, i'd still have that Cuda! but that's ok. i got what i got and i'm fine with that. i thought about getting a mustang but i can't stand those push button start cars and my pontiac has a secret that only my son and husband knows about that makes my pontiac a bargain! but i'll never tell. anyway, i'm done praising my 2008 Pontiac G5 and proud of it.
