Went in to look at a 2014 Civic. Car was in good shape inside and out minus some cosmetic issues that were easily fixable. Got a quote and they were trying to force sell a $1,595 “theft safety feature” that they claimed was pre-installed when I know for a fact it isn’t cause it’s illegal to do that. The guy claimed that all their vehicles come with it and that they wouldn’t take it off. Do not deal with them.

I did not plan to buy a car this year, however, when mine gave out I had no choice but to start shopping around. Last week I made an appointment with a dealership in Van Nuys to test drive a Dodge Challenger. Upon arrival I noticed that the car was not what was advertised and the sales person & finance manager were extremely pushy and never gave a straight forward answer to my questions. Fast forward to today. I stumbled across a dealership called STG Dealership in Montclair, CA. Wow is all I can say! From the moment I called to make an appointment until the transaction was completed, I was treated with the utmost respect and patience. Mina, our sales person was in no way rude and never rushed me to make a decision about purchasing the big ticket item. All of my questions as well as concerns were addressed to my liking. The entire transaction was transparent. I can speak highly of Mina knowing that he is a consummate professional! Absolutely no stress was involved. Fantastic sales person and dealership.

BUYER BEWARE of low vehicle standards from Marin Acura!!! If you dare to purchase a pre-owned vehicle from Marin Acura, bring a mechanic with you or take the vehicle to a mechanic before purchasing. Standards are low and barely acceptable. Don’t believe their 160 point check sales pitch. I purchased a 2018 certified Acura MDX from this dealership in March 2021. The sales person rushed for sale and did not give much time to inspect the vehicle. Upon reversing the vehicle I heard a bit of noise. After a few days, I took the vehicle to my local Acura dealership and found the brakes among a few other maintenance items needed to be replaced. The brakes were not covered under the certified warranty. The manager at Marin Acura stated they would not pay for any of the brake replacement costs. A customer should not have to worry about about replacing something so necessary such as brakes upon a vehicle purchase. I expected more from an Acura dealership and am very disappointed in the low vehicle standards and poor customer service. From other Marin Acura reviews, it is apparent that low vehicle standards and unethical practices are common practice at this dealership. Marin Acura does NOT stand by the quality of their vehicles and this is very disheartening. Marin Acura is a bad representation of a luxury brand like Acura. I will definitely NOT purchase another vehicle from Marin Acura.
